A very premium experience at a reasonable price.
First impressions: Everything about this microphone screams quality. It is very heavy for it’s size, and the finishing is perfect. The pouch it comes with is perfectly sized for both the microphone and it’s holder. The switch moves smoothly but firmly, and you can feel when it is in it’s place. It may say “Made in China”, but the German engineering is blatantly shown in every design feature of this device. I will do a follow up review in a few days after using it a few times to discuss it’s connectivity and sound.

Great Mic at A Great Price for Spoken Word
I now own two Sennheiser XS-1’s. I’m using them for walk-around mics during Zoom webinars. The on-off switch is great to cut off the mic while it is being passed around. I found the XS-1’s output is good, better than my SM58’s. Handling noise isn’t bad. It looks well made with a good weight. I can’t comment on it’s quality as a vocal mic, but if you are on a tight budget, I think you would not be unhappy.

[4.5 STARS] For the price point, this is probably the best mic out there. It’s a solid Sennheiser mic, too, of which I’ve used for nearly three decades. I run a trivia company and with over 15 hosts, this is the exclusive microphone that I’ve built into our mobile kits (we own just shy of two dozen). In 8 years, I’ve only had two fail on us, and that’s with weekly use, with our hosts using them several nights a week (I personally host 4-5 games a week and have had zero issues). One completely failed (no sound), while the other magically lost its ability to reproduce low-end. Otherwise, these have been pretty solid.They do have one major flaw, and that is handling noise. It can be dialed back if you have the right EQ and depending on what you are using it for, but depending on how tight the on/off switch is, you’ll heard a slight “thud” when activating it. And too much handling of the mic in the wrong spots will pick up unwanted noises, but again learning proper mic technique can get your around most of that, just be aware that it’s there.I do wish the capsule was replaceable (I use an SE2 on my wireless Sennheiser mics), but at the $50-ish price point it’s asking a lot. Seriously, this is a great little mic for the money. If you aren’t willing to spend twice as much for the e835 (especially if you need the switch because the 935 doesn’t have one) then this is the mic you’ll want to buy.

This is a very nice microphone for the price.It’s a solid build that feels good in the hand. Nice on/off button. Nice sound and no issue with audio feedback when standing in front of the speaker (that my old cheaper microphone had big problems with).

Il microfono dinamico Sennheiser XS 1 è stata una scelta eccellente per le mie esigenze vocali. Appena aperta la confezione, ho notato la qualità costruttiva solida e il design elegante. Il suono è pulito, potente e bilanciato, perfetto per cantanti, speaker e DJ.L’ho testato in live e in sala prove: zero distorsioni, buona resistenza al feedback e una risposta vocale nitida. Molto comodo anche l’interruttore on/off integrato. Un prodotto che soddisfa qualità e prezzo.

El micrófono me lo recomendó un amigo que estudia audio, me había comentado que se trataba de un modelo que usaban para casi todo y que los sacaba de apuros en funciones en vivo.Yo lo uso únicamente para grabar mis guitarras, voz y percusiones en mi estudio casero; debo decir que el producto excedió mi expectativas. La construcción es de calidad y los materiales también.En cuanto a la calidad del audio esta es muy buena pero tiende a exaltar más las frecuencias medias y altas porque en sí está diseñado para voz. Habrá que tomarlo en cuenta al momento de ecualizar demás instrumentos. No obstante, se trata de un excelente micrófono para todos los niveles.

For the price this is a great little microphone I have used a lot. I’m used to a very old EW300 G3 which I adore, you need to jack the volume up to get noise from these, but they have a really nice low end drive. Very clear, but looses pickup for me at the higher notes (Male singer).The metal case has always been my fav as the weight gives a sense of quality when using it, also more durable.
