Somewhat unwieldy but very effective
I’m using this as a supplement to my 800W of fixed rooftop solar on my Lance 1062 camper. I recognized the need to chase the sun during an October turkey hunt. I purchased this for my following November deer hunt. I connected it via 25 foot SAE extension cable to a Victron 100/30 MPPT solar charge controller (SCC) placed under the camper then to a SAE pass-through port to the batteries. Due to the panel voltage (40V) it is important to use a MPPT SCC for voltage conversion to the batteries (12V).This unit consists of 4 separate panels, hinged by fabric between each panel, and using a simple “kickstand” behind each panel. There are fabric loops along the ground edge for stakes but nothing for the back supports. It would be susceptible to blowing over. When collapsed, everything is held together by hook-&-loop (velcro) fasteners which I consider much larger and stronger than necessary. At 85 inches long, stretching it out with so much velcro makes you feel like wallpapering with one arm. The provided MC4 to “multi-connector” I put aside in favor of a simpler MC4 to SAE adapter for my use. The weight is acceptable at less than 20 pounds but the backpacker pictured is laughable. The fabric certainly appears robust enough and the attached pocket is fine.I was VERY PLEASED by the output power (considering the sun incidence angle and atmospheric conditions of late November) by frequently achieving 200+ watts at 44 volts. I realize that outside temperatures in the mid 20° F will improve performance, I am still very much pleased.I now carry it all the time behind the seat of the truck whenever I go camping.

A good choice for outdoor power

Very durable feel to it, rated at 220watts plugged into ecoflow river 3 plus generator I’m getting 150 watt input on a very slightly cloud covered day the only down fall is how the legs/stands designed to stand up kind of a pain but I think most are designed the same way

Overall I like this panel but there are a few things I found that I’m not a fan of.1) in peak sunlight, I’m getting maybe 100 watts and it needs to be repositioned every 5 minutes or so for optimal performance.2) the Velcro stands are a pain! Every time I shift it, they pull back and Velcro. The Velcro is strong so I have found I am constantly fighting with it.3) the stands are not adjustable. So you only have one angle.4) the strap doesn’t hold it tight so it’s kind of accordions in storage5) it keeps triggering my battery charger when I plug it in. Thankfully there are protections built in, but this is a concern.Positives1) I like the zipper enclosure to store the cable2) I like that it plugs into a variety of receptacles3) I like the size. It’s the same as main competitors

I couldn’t get the 220watt, BUT my setup is not the best. I’m in October in Québec, Canada, and I got 190Watt from it directly in my EcoFlow Delta 2 ! This was holding it in angle, because the location I can have it have no flat surface, so I cannot point it directly toward the sun, and the sun is starting to get low and is not as efficient and generating energy. So I think 190watt is good enough for this time of year. I got a few extension cord to get a bit more reach.I LOVE that these use solar panel connector !! My other portable solar panel doesn’t use that ! And they have manual release, so you do not need tool to disconnect them. The pocket to store the adaptor is large and you can fit extra length of cable just fine, and you do get lot of output connector. I was worried that the connector for my ecoflow would limit the current, but so far I’m getting what I would expect I think. There is an additional pin that is used to unlock higher charging current normally which this kit doesn’t use. I did not tried the other connector. I wish they had some kind of cover to protect them as they are all live at the same time.It does have a leg to keep them in an angle integrated, but you need a flat surface to install it. Velcro is super strong to keep 2 panel together when close. The transport handle is great… It a really nice fordable solar panel, though some what heavy. I have another one that is 350watt that is about the same weight (but this one feel a bit better quality)
