Phenyx Pro does it again! Thank You!
I will say that these guys do not disappoint! We have been using the wireless mics for a while now and have loved them but we were using other brands for wired purposes such as talkback. Using the PhenyxPro wired mic you get professional quality sound at a great price And we couldn’t be happier!! That you for yet again another stellar product. The construction of the mic is solid (not cheap feeling) and the switch on this is also robust and not loose like some others. The capsule comes with a pop filter on the inside of the cage to eliminate some of the harsh dictation without impeding sound. This also comes with a leather pouch carrying case, mic clip and an xlr cable. You will not be disappointed in this purchase

I think I have found my new favorite corded microphone
Excellent microphone. Great mics, lows and highs. Bottom end is strong without being muddy or overbearing. Very clean and natural sounding. Unidirectional with excellent rejection of background noise. Well built, durable and a good weight. Comes with a nice zipper pouch case, very nice quality XLR cable (most brands throw in the cheapest XLR to 1/4″ cable they can find, if they even include a cable), manual, Phenyx Pro sticker and a stand clip that includes a 5/8″ to 1/4″ stand adapter. The adapter is plastic, but the mics clip has a 5/8″ brass insert. The on/off switch is nice. I would like to see a switch lock like I’ve had on many mics that allows you to use a screwdriver to loosen a screw and turn the lock around to keep the switch locked in the “on” position for those inexperienced folks who fumble with the mic and accidentally turn it off.One thing a little different for me on this mic is the position of the XLR connector. Usually, the connector is positioned where the cables latch release is lined up with the switch. On this mic, it’s upside – down. Not a big deal, but something I will have to get used to.

Good purchase of this microphone
The microphone worked great. No issues so far. The length seems true to size can’t wait to keep working with it.

Good mic! Great Purchase! Comparable to other quality and more expensive mics.
Nothing flashy but what I like about it is the same reason why I like SM58s, they feel very durable. I have not dropped this one as I have my 58s, but it seems very solid. Seems to have a built in pop filter inside the grill. On/Off switch is a good plus, doesn’t seem to pop when I switch it off, I was expecting it to. Great vocal EQ sound right off the box. Didn’t need a lot of EQing for me as a male vocalist, if any, just sweep the low freq a bit. I do appreciate the pickup pattern on it. Works really well, I’ve had a few drummers that wanna sing, and it seems to work well in practice. Not a huge bleed on the mic, even being inside the drum shielding.I have yet to do a side by side comparison to my SM7 (which is probably unfair), but it feels it could hold it’s own against the SM58.Packaging itself comes with a cable and pouch. Definitely worth acquiring.

Phenyx Pro PM-26S Super Cardioid Mic…for the win!
This is a solid built microphone. Good weight and balance. It has pretty low noise when handling and seems to be built a lot like my Sennheiser E835…so I compared the two. The Phenyx Pro PM26S has quite a bit more gain than the Sennheiser E835. A noticeable amount. I find this to be true in nearly all of my Phenyx Pro wireless units as well. Also, the Phenyx Pro PM26S has more low-end and a different EQ in the upper mids and highs. As a public speaker and musician, I put this microphone through both scenarios, and it passed with flying colors. The switch is silent and minor gain and EQ adjustments was all I needed. I like that this mic absolutely did NOT feedback after I purposely walked in front of speakers and monitors. It is a true super cardioid mic. I feel this mic punches way above its weight! Well done, Phenyx Pro. The PM26S comes well packaged with an owner’s manual, mic clip, XLR cable (nice), and a sticker. A great mic at an amazing deal! Get one

good sound for very little $
While it won’t be replacing my Telefunken M80, the Phenyx Supercardioid Dynamic Mic is a great deal at 1/4 the cost. I used it for the 2nd set of an outdoor gig. It didn’t have as robust a low end as my M80, but nice sizzling highs and zero feedback, qualities I like about Supercardioid mics. I host regular music parties with 10-15 professional musicians performing and this will be fine for that setting. It would also be fine as a fill-in mic should my M80 ever go down. Another inexpensive hyercardioid mic I REALLY like for vocals is the Audix f5. I needed an extra mic for a vocal rehearsal and it worked great. Those run about & 90 bucks and are not stocked for prompt shipment.

This is an all metal super cardioid microphone. It’s well featured and appears to be well made.It comes with the kind of extras that some more expensive mics provideA carry/storage bag, very similar to the zipped bag you would get with a higher pricedA microphone clip with a standard thread plus reducerA five meter XLR cable.I sat this up in a rehearsal studio and the sound quality was far superior to the ones the studio provided. The XLR cable was also higher quality.I’m not a great fan of on-off switches on microphones, as it is just one more possible complication of the signal chain. However, the switch works with no clicks or buzzes. All in all, we were very pleased of the performance of this microphone, it punches above its weight, and is good value at this price point.

I’ve had the Phenyx Pro PM-26S Dynamic Vocal Microphone for a few weeks now, and overall I’m pretty impressed — especially considering it normally sells for £52.99. Still, the current £7.95 discount (bringing it down to £45.04) becomes much more tempting.**What I Like**• Sound Quality: The tuned EQ curve gives warmth in the lows and nice clarity in the highs. Vocals come through rich without being harsh — which is pretty rare in mics at this price.• Directionality: The supercardioid pattern does a decent job of rejecting side noise. If there’s background hum or chatter, it helps keep it under control.• Build & Accessories: Solid metal body, decent finishing. Comes with a mic clip, storage bag, cable tidy, and a 5 m XLR cable — which is actually quite handy. It’s long enough for home use, small gigs or karaoke nights, and while some rival bundles offer longer 6–8 m leads, this one is plenty for most setups.• Plosives & Sibilance: The foam inside the grille helps a bit, so unless you’re breathing like a dragon, it reduces harsh pops.**What Needs Improvement**• Gain & Sensitivity: With sensitivity around −50 ± 2 dB, you’ll need a decent preamp or interface to get good loudness without hiss. Weak setups will show their limits.• On/Off Switch: The switch feels a bit loose compared to the otherwise solid build. Not a big deal, but noticeable.• Weight & Handling Noise: Because it’s metal and fairly hefty, handling noise can creep in if you’re moving it around. A stand helps a lot.**Who It’s For**If you’re a home studio user, podcaster, karaoke fan, or small-stage performer who doesn’t want to spend a fortune, this mic punches above its weight. When compared with others in this price range, it offers more in-the-box value than many rivals, especially with the cable and accessories included.**Final Verdict**For £45, it offers excellent value. It sounds good, feels solid, and has enough included kit to get you started without extra expense. The 5 m cable is a bonus, the mic looks and feels the part, and it performs well once paired with decent gear. I dock a star mainly for the slightly fussy gain needs and minor handling quirks, but overall it’s a strong choice at this price point.

As one who is often out playing at gigs, I’m well aware the importance of a good mic. I’m judging this Phenyx Pro PM-26S against my current mics which are TM-60 condenser ones. But our system allows a mix of Condenser and Dynamic which is what the Phenyx one is. This PM-26S – the S stands for switch on/off – is a supercardioid which is good at restricting sound pick-up around the mic head – you need to be speaking into it directly – always a sign of a good mic. There was very little handling noise, although we always use mic stands, and the head has a sponge filter incorporated to lessen the breath noise and pops. I think I would still add another 3½” pop filter just to be sure. The 5m xlr cable supplied was faulty – the cable end clicking into the mic itself stuck solid no matter how much I pushed in the release catch. When I eventually retracted it, I spent time trying to lower its fastening – perhaps if it’s filed down it might work – but I wouldn’t trust it anymore – it’s for the bin. Actually, we always use 6m cables – sufficiently far enough away from our mixing deck and speakers – why would you want to use a shorter lead ?The price is good and providing you’re singing into the mic’s head, then the output is good too and pleasantly clear. The mic case was too big for it and showed a lack of customer awareness – as did the supply of a cheap xlr cable. For those small failures, I’m marking it down to 3 stars.

Very weighty metal body, so nice and sturdy. The mic is fully featured, and the pack comes with useful accessories that add value to the product. Having a nice zip-up pouch to stop it getting dinged or dirtied represents just one more way in which this gives you good value-for-money.The audio quality is good for the price. The supercardioid pattern works as you’d expect. It’s suitable for pretty much any semi-professional use case.

I’ve seen good reviews of this mic, so was keen to try it. I A/B’d it against similar priced mics by Blue and ADK. It came up very short – not much bottom end at all, very trebly and thin. It’s a decent enough package with a long XLR cable, pouch and mic clip, but the sound just doesn’t justify the price tag in my view. Plosives handled fine and it feels well built. I had the one with the on/off switch, which may be useful in a live setting, although adds extra interruptions in the signal chain. At this price, I’d check out a similarly priced Sennheiser or Audio Technica.
