Easy to set up and use
This is a simple design. The one I had previously was programmable. It suddenly was using up batteries, and so I looked for a replacement.What I like most is the simplicity of the design there are just a couple of buttons to use to set it up. You need to read the manual to get the right codes for you to program the device.It is no illuminated, but the display numbers are large enough to view them from a distance.The installation process is easy. You may need a drill if the previous holes for the original unit you are relacing don’t match up.This is easy to use, and is great at maintaining a constant temperature.

Easy to install, Easy to use!
Very easy to install for simple heat/cool forced air systems. I replaced my problematic Google Nest that was abandoned from product support October 2025. This thermostat does not require the infamous “C” wire. It is straight forward, no wifi, no fancy hookup, does the job well. I installed this in 15 minutes. Just read the instructions prior to installation and install two alkaline AA batteries. Also the setup was super easy most presets matched my system. The only odd thing is that I was going to put Lithium batteries in the unit but I researched that they might put out too much voltage? The therometer in the unit matches my other thermometers perfectly. I think the activation threshold is two degrees from setting which is good enough.

Tough install
Very easy to use thermostat. But installation is not as easy as it appeared. It does work well. And am overall happy with this unit.

Awesome so far! We replaced an older Hunter 42999B thermostat and this was a perfect match. Our system is natural gas forced air heat and typical large central air – Perfect and EASY.
