The KRK Systems ROKIT 5 Generation Five is the most advanced studio monitor in its class. Whether you’re working on a chart-topping hit, a film score, or a personal project, they provide the tools you need to capture every nuance of your sound with astonishing clarity. Part of the Fifth Generation of KRK ROKIT Studio Monitors, along with the ROKIT 7 Generation Five and ROKIT 8 Generation Five, their onboard DSP technology provides three distinct Voicing Modes. Mix Mode, with flat frequency and phase response, is best for mixing, mastering, and critical listening. Create Mode is a more inspirational voicing best used for writing, producing, and casual listening. Focus Mode is a mid-focused voicing for critical analysis of the midrange band where vocals and most instruments have the most energy. The three Mix Modes eliminate the need for separate sets of monitors for different tasks. It’s like having three pairs of monitors in one. The ROKIT 5 Generation Five also features 25 boundary and tuning EQ combinations that help minimize and correct problems in your acoustic environment, and with the aid of the free KRK App, they make setting up your recording environment easy and precise. The ROKIT 5 Generation Five is fitted with a 5” woven Kevlar aramid fiber cone woofer for superior damping and modal breakup control. The 1” tweeter benefits from a highly damped acoustic silk dome diaphragm to smoothly extend the frequency range up to 40 kHz. For maximum transient response and dynamics reproduction, biamplified Class D power amplifiers drive the transducers evenly and more efficiently at reduced operating temperatures to ensure audio integrity during long work sessions. The world’s leading studio monitor manufacturer, KRK’s sonic accuracy and performance have made them the choice of professionals worldwide for over 35 years. Experience them for yourself, and you’ll agree–the KRK Systems ROKIT 5 Generation Five continues that tradition of sonic excellence.
Custom-designed Class D power amplifiers for better audio integrity and reduced operating temperature
New 1” silk dome tweeter design for improved high-mid, high frequency, and phase performance
Low Diffraction Baffle Design for lower distortion and better stereo imaging

You should just toss money now….fr fr
I was never an audiophile, though I did lean toward over the ear, corded, studio headphones to pods of any sort. Better sound. I was listening ti a track that I had heard many times before through these beautiful speakers and I heard extra noise in the track and it threw me off. The bass on the 8’s is incredible. I’m very much enjoying the experience.

Slightly better than the Gen 4 speakers, and hopefully the power supplies are better now
I got the previous gen (4) in November 2024 and one of the power supplies failed a year later (dried out cap) so I gave that to a buddy of mine who likes to fix things, and upgraded to this gen. They seem marginally cleaner, and make things on YouTube sound ever so slightly worse, which I take as a sign of increased fidelity. (Studio monitors should reproduce mistakes with the same fidelity as anything else, and not paper over them. That’s the whole point.)There are better monitors out there at a significantly higher price point. These are more “prosumer” grade, you get what you pay for. If you want to hear more mistakes, get a better set. These go very well with the KRK S10.4 powered sub, which is another good buy, very transparent. I would say look at the size of the room you’re going to use, get the right size of speakers (5″ is right for my room but maybe not for yours), and get a matching sub (which is also room-dependent.)Don’t bother buying these without a matching sub, ideally from KRK. With no sub they’re just casual listening devices, and there are better options for that. With a standard “fun” sub they’re useless for audio production, as regular subs always color the audio in ways that go against critical listening. If the 5″ is right for your room then the S10.4 is likely the right subwoofer as well.Run your audio through the sub to your monitors. Let the sub do the crossover. If you have a treated room and want something better for serious work, I’d look at getting something better than these. They have built-in DSPs and can compensate for various room geometry, but they’re not upscale. If you’re really serious and have the money, I’d look at Tannoy or something similar that goes beyond the “prosumer” level.

Amazing Sound Quality
The KRK RP5G5 ROKIT 5 (Generation 5) studio monitors are absolutely fantastic! The sound is crisp, clear, and well-balanced, with great bass response for their size. They deliver accurate audio, making them perfect for mixing and producing music. The build quality feels solid, and they look sleek in my setup. Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, these monitors are a great investment. Highly recommend! 🎶🔥

Great set of monitors
Love KRK’s. Everyone’s ears are different so I recommend going to your local Guitar Center to hear all the different brands. Yamaha is just too crispy for my liking and Adam Audio’s just don’t sound right to me. I produce EDM music. EQ functions were great on the GEN 4. They overkilled the EQ functions on these GEN 5’s. The app is great for tuning your system as well.Bass response is good by themselves but I would get the S.8 inch subwoofer to pair with them if you can.

Natural sound and best quality
The KRK Rokit 5s deliver a clear and balanced sound profile, making them excellent near-field monitors for home studios and smaller production spaces. Their compact size doesn’t compromise their performance, offering impressive detail and a solid low-end response for their class.

No instructions on settings adjustment, too low end boomy
Kind of confusing as there are no “instructions” on how to use all the settings on back and it is rather perplexing. Also they are more boomy bottom end and less crisp on high end than I expected. Again it may be an EQ setting you need to adjust in its many controls to scroll through but not easily figured out how to do that, it is frustrating that you can’t just plug & play but rather need to research how to use these online I guess. A pamphlet inside would have greatly helped, showing how to adjust these and what all of its numerous things on the little glowing screen on the back actually mean, what they do, how to set….but no, you are on your own. That pus the bottom end heaviness and disappointing lack of high end crispness dinged it two stars. I know everyone’s ears are different but to me it just sounds a little muffled/muddy in the bottom and midrange, the highs just are not there cutting through. Looks nice and not as heavy as it looks so I’ll give it that. But I would not buy again.
