Not perfect, but buy it right now.
The software ecosystem isn’t great. Bamboo’s is much better, and I wish they’d work on that. It’s loud, and I’ve heard some odd sounds from the fans that make me a little nervous only 3 weeks in.That said, for $340 for my first printer, I’m blown away by the engineering. They did a really good job. The touch screen may not feel like an iPhone, but it works just fine. The print quality, speed, precision, and reliability have me floored. It’s also the only printer I could find in this range that has HEPA and charcoal filters with internal and external circulation. I threw some Kapton over the doors when printing in the house to better seal the system, but having the backbones of a proper filtration system is huge. The flashforge specific Orca slicer works great. I’m an aerospace mechanical engineer and I couldn’t be more impressed for the cost. I love it. I really do.

Order the multi-color flashforge, but otherwise great unit!!
5 stars for kid friendly, adult approved, fun… Set up is super easy., DO NOT USE THE MOBILE APP!!! 1. Open the box, 2. Set up the printer, 3. Watch 400 videos to figure it out, 4. Download the correct software 5. start printing. We are on day 1 of prints ( day 4 of having it out of the box and messing with the mobile app. I fully recommend going with the AD5X vs. The Adventure 5m pro. From pictures and advertisements it looks like you can print multi-color, with 5m Pro. but it is a single color filament printer. In fact, the 5m pro requires manual changes of colors to print in multi color, though the advertisements show very colorful prints. We were devastated by this. I wish we would have paid attention, before ordering. Additionally we purchased during prime day i. October and were purchasing as a Christmas gift for kids, so we were well outside the return window, or we would returned it for the AD5X version. There are a few notes to the next buyer, looking for your 1st 3d printer. 1. Stop messing with the mobile app. It is useless and I only had errors for 3 days before moving on to the home computer or laptop. After watching several videos and drpping the mobile spp, we download to computer, the “flashmsker” by flashforge software, Then, we were on our way.. This software is what you need to upload the prints, slices, and create a file that will load to the unit, for printing. 2. Order extra filament, day 1. The flash forge is nice, in that, you can tell it what filament type you are using and it will do the job for you, as it pertains to heat and configuration. All of this can be done in the software. So easy to use. 3. There are a ton of websites to download free STL files, or if there is a very specific print or you are trying to ecommerce, there are pay sites as well.Final; great 3d printer, easy to use once you download the right software to laptop. Forget the mobile app bs. This is lots of fun for all ages. Order the multicolor unit. Other wise cool unit.

Get ready to enjoy 3-D printing!
Once you buy a machine, you will no longer have to fiddle or try to figure out why your prince are failing! I’ve got close to 300 hours on it with no signs of wear and tear. The thing still performs like it did the day I opened it up. I cannot get over how fast and easy it is to operate and the quality of the prints are amazing no fine-tuning,no fiddling with it no hassle when I want to print something. I just check that there’s good fulfillment and hit send very rarely fails and produces smooth prints.!

Quality issues
Didn’t even work for a week before it broke. Contacted flashforge and don’t know when I will get replacement piece due to the warehouse to be backed up. Likely will return it if I can get the replacement piece before return deadline

A solid printer!
I have had it for over a month now and I have gone just one day without printing something. Right out of the box, it works wonderfully and is a lot less hassle than the reviews led me to believe. In fact, I tried tinkering with settings when I thought it needed it a couple of times, when really, all I needed was to calibrate the machine from the app on my phone (or from the device). Very simple! Setup was easy and with OrcaSlicer, prints are very easy!To be fair to some people who have complained, I had to learn to use the calibration option a couple of times when prints didn’t look great or they started off not too good. Auto leveling helps a lot too. That’s perfectly okay. You can’t learn if you don’t mess up a few prints. I am still doing that, but my successful prints are far more than the ones that don’t turn out. I have also learned that it helps to modify the gcode to print a line before it does it’s nozzle cleaning routine, to get the first piece of filament out of the way.As a word of caution, don’t use ChatGPT. There isn’t enough content out there to draw from and so it will give you bad advice! Printables.com is your friend. It’s quiet, clean, and fun. Definitely worth the purchase!

Awesome Printer, but wifi is no good
I love this printer itself. I have an Ender 3 Pro and leveling was a pain to do all the time. With this, it is pretty much plug and play. Quieter, faster and easier.Only complaint is that even thought this is in the same room as one of my wireless accesspoints (getting -53dbm), it keeps disconnecting from the network, so right now, I cannot just upload over the network. I have to put on usb and then print from the machine. It does have ethernet, so I am try that, but wireless should be working better.**UPDATE – 2024-12-19**I have even setup ethernet to the printer still facing the same issues. Flash Print (5.8.7 version) is working now with no problems, but other software has a problem. In discussions with support, they believe it is the Flashforge server software on the printer itself and they have sent it to their software development team. Leaving this at 4 stars until this can be rectified.

The setup is easy. Just read the instructions and you’ll be fine. The printer setup goes smoothly, except for when it cleaned the nozzle, it moved to the rear of the machine and scraped the nozzle across the plate scratching it at the very back, the print area isn’t affected by this but the machine shouldn’t have done this. It should have asked the user to make sure the nozzle was clean, done a bed level/calibration.Other than that it has performed well, it prints fast, the build quality is good and solid. The screen is not capacistive, but rather a resistive type, similar to something like a Nintendo DS (bottom screen). Making it best to use a small stylus for best results. The resolution is good. The other thing that could be improved is integration and instructions for Orca Slicer to have the Devices tab work. It’s a bit disappointing that it isn’t explained, as to why it doesn’t show, which programs you might need (mainsail?). The wifi setup should also be explained better, I had to use a youtube video to help me along there.Print quality is solid, it is very fast, I slow it down on the perimeters to improve the print quality. Uploads and prints directly from Orca, which I quite like.Overall I’d give it a 8.5. Mostly down to the bed scratching, which didn’t need to occur, and the device tab in Orca not working and no explanation/instructions on how to make it activate properly (without being told you have to use Orca Flashforge version.)

Great basic 3D printer. inexpensive and easy to use. I have used it for many little project. Cannot fault it. While the 220x220mm bed is generous, my next printer will have a larger bed.

The Flashforge Adventurer 3M was fairly easy to set up, and has printed reliably with good quality. I’m finding it a bit noisy, and have bought the enclosure kit to reduce it. Running at 80% of the top speed also seems to help.I’m using Orca slicer to make the g-code file for printing and found it pretty straightforward.Overall good value for money and a quality build.

Easy to use.. great on all fronts but 1.. needs less friction on filament spool holder.. problem with tpu as feeder motor has problems gripping and feeding extruder.
