Is the solar panel waterproof?

The solar panel has IP65 weather-resistant protection, protecting it from spraying and rain. Do not immerse it in water.

What types of devices are compatible with this solar charger?

This solar charger is compatible with low-power devices, such as mobile phones and tablets.

What types of ports does the solar panel support? What is its output wattage?

The solar panel has a USB-C port (5V/3A) and a USB-A output port (5V/2.4A).

Can the solar panel work generate power if its inside next to a window?

Yes, but we don’t recommend it. The output may be low due to weak sunlight. For best results, keep the solar panel outdoors.

How can I maximize the use of this solar panel?

30W is the maximum power output of this product. To ensure the solar panel operates at its maximum power, try to expose it to strong sunlight during its entire use. The sunlight should be perpendicular to the solar panel.

    Great Anker Solar Panel
Great panel quality, lightweight, and a good hiking panel for extra charge. Price is a bit high, but with Anker quality it’s known to be reliable. Gotten wet and has had dirt on it, no issues. 15W usb-c is best for charging a phone or a battery bank, but the usb-a port is generally left unused. Would recommend finding the best angle to get maximum sunlight for most power output, as it can severely drop in current if it’s too low or high.

    We use this every weekend
We do a lot of overland Jeep trips. This is a must have for my starlink/powerbank bag. I can keep phones and other anker powerbanks topped off with ease. It stows away very nicely. The size of a small laptop when folded up. Easily stores in a normal backpack.

    Works Great!!
I was a little skeptical if this would actually work but it exceeded my expectations. My cell phone was about 15 percent charged when I plugged it in. I checked on it about an hour and a half later and my phone was fully charged. However it would be a tough decision whether or not to take it back packing because it’s not lightweight.

Good Quality Solar Panels, But Maybe I Should Have Gone Bigger Wattage
I bought this to help charge my Anker 521 Power station. I tried it on a sunny day ant it didn’t appear to charge the battery. I need to test it better, but I need sunny days and a way to point the charger to the sun. I think I should have gotten a better wattage than 30W. Still no giving up. The solar panels are sturdy and well constructed.

Lackluster. Barely 25% efficiency – Questionable value. Total pain in cold weather.
So far, out in the field I’m less than impressed. The durability is good, so I’ll give it one star for that. I like how it packs up and snaps together and the little led light shows its getting sun but this thing never gets over 6 to 7 watts so the rating is wildly overstated and the price for what may be 10 watts at peak is a HUGE premium to pay when there are rated panels at 10w that achieve 10w. I wasn’t expecting 100% efficiency but 25 percent efficiency and we’re talking about being scammed out of hard-earned money by a brand that should know better. Tested in bright TX sun and clear mountain skies with no clouds in southern New Mexico in the middle of June during peak sunlight – tried changing angle/position – just takes a lot of work to eek out those few watts. Which speaks to the second star, the “startup” watt is almost non existent so it can trickle charge with lazy positioning. Weight isn’t too bad, but it will take up precious space if you hike because it does have gaps in the folds. may be worthwhile to hang off pack if hiking in open area to reduce consumption of phone or gps devices or charge a smart watch.I’m in the honeymoon phase of being able to keep or return the item. will continue to try and see how it works over next week while i work my way up New Mexico and decide the fate of this device, I will update the review if i can get anywhere near 50% or more of its rating or I’ve given up hope and returned it. The weight of a larger battery like the anker 735 with huge capacity may be more worthwhile than a smaller pack and this solar panel in space/hassle/trade off if you need power while away from civilization.Update: Back from my trip. The only reason I’ll keep this at 1 star is it survived flying off my car when I drove off after leaving it on the roof to try and charge something. To be honest, it would have been better to leave it on the side of the road. I am completely disappointed. I didn’t bother returning it after getting road rash.I purchased a 10w “security camera” USB C charger that charges at higher wattage/voltage than this and is barely the size of one of the panels on this foldout thing and it doesn’t try and close up when it’s cold outside. Trying to use this Anker solar panel on a brisk morning is futile as it won’t “relax” out of its buttoned-up position. You have to use straps or bungee cords to hold it open.Worst investment ever.

Advertised 30w but max output is 27w only (From Volt and Amp specs for ports). 15w from type C and 12w from type A.I connected on a full sunny day directed to the sun. No clouds and full sun exposure, The best I got from type C is 12watts of output.Though I was thinking the power is shared among 2 ports 15w from one and 12w from another, I tried adding another power bank over type A to make best of the power being generated. To my surprise, on connecting type A, the output from type C port reduced. Which tells that product does not even output 27W in total, I would say the total output from this product even on best conditions would not exceed 20W.The seller Bluemaple is horrible. They sold the product at expensive price and dropped down the rates by 20% within a week of delivery. If possible, purchase from other sellers or directly import from anker.

Merci Anker.

Took this camping, my samsung S21 displayed an approx 20% to full in just over 5 hours in full sun. (Normal charge via plug is about 2hours). Also kept my JBL flip speaker at full charge the whole time. Has a little light where the usb ports are to show it is getting enough sun. Tried it in the shade and it still worked! Way better than some of ones sold at outdoor stores!

I bought this for camping. It does a great job keeping my plug in equipment charged. It charges my phone quite well even without 100% sun.I think everyone should have one of these.
