No, the system does not include a hard drive. You must purchase and install a compatible hard drive (typically 500GB–2TB) separately to enable recording and playback features.

Great price and user control
Brought it a few months ago for $250, I noticed the price has gone up, but still a valuable security system. It can be connected to network modem or router with ethernet cable but I don’t it want to. I prefer keeping everything local and wired. It has AI settings where I can enable/disable detection of vehicle, motion, or human. I enabled human only for mine cuz I live in suburb area. If you live in rural farm or have long private driveway then you might want to enable vehcile detection plus you could do that on any listing cameras up to 16. DVR has usb plug in front if you want to back up captured video. You would need a monitor for Zosi DVR. Monitors are cheap, low as $50. It doesn’t come with microphone but you can order whichever types to your preference on Amazon, I brought one for $15 that also have 60 feet cable like for cameras.Before I got Zosi, my old expensive wifi cameras had trouble with connections also risks of hacking by others who want to exploit for whatever reasons. Could be to keep eye on their vehicles parking on the street thru their cellphones. This is why I prefer everything wired within my control. Zosi has better pictures and settings than my old wifi cameras from Isotech company that no longer doing security camera business. The only pain part is hooking up cables between dvr and cameras throughout attic. I had to make a hole into my garage ceiling for cables to go thru to my dvr. I like Zosi customer service, they will answer whatever issues you may have. I have researched on many security camera brands for weeks to months trying to find something simple and better user control, Zosi got my vote.

I am very impressed with this camera. I originally bought one for myself, and after trying it for a few days, I liked it so much that I bought a second one for my parents back in Europe.The picture quality is very clear, the setup is simple, and the app works smoothly. The night vision and motion detection are excellent, and it gives great peace of mind whether I’m home or away.My parents had no trouble using it either, even though they’re not very tech-savvy. It’s reliable, lightweight, and works exactly as described.Overall, this is a great camera for the price. Highly recommended!

After some punk kids tried to bust in to my brothers house, I bought a few of these to install around his place. These seem to be compatible with a number of CCTV DVR’s. Picture quality is great. Easy to install.

Zosi customer service is a nightmare
It was super nice my camera system came within just a few days, but as soon as I set it up it kept re-setting the dvr. From day 1 it reset multiple times per day. Amazon would only refund me if I sent back the system. It took about 3 months for me to be able to get a response from zosi company. They work like 11pm- 7am, and NO ONE IS AVAILABLE DURING THE DAY!After finally around 3 months I messaged the company for the 5th or 6th time and finally got a response, they told me to change all the cords (at my own cost) which I did, wanted me to unplug it for an hour then plug it back in to see if that works, replace the hard drive (at my own cost), and finally to update the system. Let me tell you to update these is a nightmare!At the end of almost a week corresponding through email finally they replaced the dvr.If it weren’t for the fact I needed the cameras I would have sent them back, but it was ridiculous to have to deal with this company. This is my 2nd zosi camera system in 4 years (I dropped the first one and broke it)Very disappointedI’ll be looking for a new brand with my next camera systemUPDATE:They did replace the first dvr for my camera system and my new dvr is doing the same thing. Constantly rebooting and when I NEEDED the cameras I’m missing hours of the footage. I’m definitely looking at other company’s for new cameras. I’m missing over 5 hours from 1 morning alone.UpdateI’m now on dvr #3 and EVERY ONE OF THEM CONSTANTLY RESETS! I want my money back for the crappy camera system.I wish I could do negative starsUPDATEI’m on dvr #4. They kept sending me replacements because my dvr would constantly reset and wasn’t recording. I made them send a different dvr model the last time and this last one so far is ok

I got this to deal with a stalker issue.The DVR and Camera’s work excellent.The app and connectivity to it is aweful.Costumers service, going through Zosi offical site or attached to this product absolutely will drive you mad.First you will be asked more then ten times is your firewall off.Is DHCP on/ Enabled.Is UNPN enabled.Is your router hooked up to the device.Did you hit Obtain I. P and see OK.Does the device show yoyr connected.(What they dont ask you twenty plus times.)No one mentions port forwarding.No one asks about unplugging or replugging in your hard disk.Are you using a switch.Did you try setting up the Wifi in the unit.Long Story short it should be easy plugg and play.It should be an amazing value for the money.And it is … Just expect the App and connection to said App to be a major pain in your ass.Also do not contact costumer service/Tech support.Unless you want to be asked the same questions multiple times even if you show screen shots demobstrating your speaking the truth.I.E shot of your main screen showing Ok youve aquired an I.P.Showing your device says Connected.Showibg your app says cant connecte to deviceOr failure to connect.Picture of both your router and system Eithernet cable blinking/ receiving and sending signal.Just be warned im bot saying dont buy this im just saying pain in the ass if you want remote viewing.Great if you want a system to monitor your home without remote viewing.

***UPDATE. Cameras went through 1 month of extreme cold weather. -25C to -35C. No physical damage to camera. Image quality did not change.Excellent security system. Purchased as a starter set. Just to know what is going on. Did not expect any great image quality or fancy options.System went through summer heat over +30C without an issue. Went through rain and fog flawlessly. No distortion in image quality. It is rated for cold weather to -10C. Using it for the past week in around -13C to -25C. This still working perfectly. No cracks on a plastic housing of cameras. Image quality has not changed. If something will change I will update this review.Operation system is very straightforward. Easy to use user interface.Many features are not working for the cameras this system comes with.I purchased a SSD(solid state drive) for this system since I often use it on a vehicle driven over bumpy roads. And regular HD often can get damaged from excessive vibration due to moving parts. SSD(Kingston 480GB A400 SATA 3) performs very well. 4 Cameras record for weeks on this drive until it is full. I use the lowest resolution 1024×768. I have tried the highest and I do not really see much difference. Highest resolution makes user interface more jerky and annoying.Zosi DVR with my SSD is completely silent. You do not even know it is there.Never used the system online, yet.Night vision quality is great at close range. But decreases with distance. I , also, disconnected the night vision on cameras facing area with enough lightning. It provides a better picture since you can see colors. There is no way to disable night vision on the cameras system comes with through software. So you have to remove few screws from camera, take the housing off, and disconnect small wire going to LED board. It takes about 2 minutes. Make sure you do not discard silica bag inside. Camera needs it to absorb moisture inside camera.Overall, I believe this system is a super deal for what you get. It is dirt cheap. Image quality is great for the cheapest possible camera. In fact image quality is BETTER that my LOREX 1080 which cost me 3 times more.I am a very picky customer, but this product is amazing.

Works for what u needed it for. Simple surveillance of my yard and criminal deterrence. The motion sensor recording feature is somewhat buggy, will crash the dvr and stop recording or mobile viewing. However setup on time record it works perfectly fine. The view and quality is quite good at this price point . Would definitely recommend for simple home surveillance. Don’t expect to be making out faces from some distance away though (30ft plus) also very easy installation and setup

I bought this because my Swann DVR went bad after 4 years. The hard drive was still good so I swapped it into this new DVR and everything works well. The app is also great and easy to use and the Swann cameras worked fine with this new DVRI haven’t tried the cameras as they were bought for spares but I’m sure they fine. The hardest part with these systems is the camera installation and wiring everything back to the DVR so you need to be aware of that. The hard drive isn’t included and you need to be comfortable opening the DVR and installing that.These aren’t the highest resolution cameras but they are quite decent and you can easily see what’s going on around your home or business whether you are on site or away. Keep in mind the best cameras are defeated with a hoodie and face mask so having ultra resolution is of limited value anyway.Hopefully the unit holds up over time. Even though the name brand Swann seems a little better constructed, it only lasted 4 years, so time will tell. For now, 5 stars for best bang for the buck performance.
