Another quality Wyze product, Easy install and set up.
I’ve had Wyze cameras for years, a couple of dozen of them. Ordered this as a Christmas present, This was easy to install, came with all needed hardware and a memory card. Has a wide field of view so you can see a lot of area to each side of the camera. I installed this with the option of using the Wyze cameras as the door bell. When the button is pressed, the cameras “ding dong”. The response time is pretty quick, almost instant even on a slow DSL connection. Since Christmas 2025, this seems to be durable mounted under a covered porch by the front door. Again, based on the other Wyze products I have, this should be a good quality product, haven’t had many issues with the other camera’s I have. Also this has a good quality to the video feed, connects quickly, no noticeable lag. Battery seems to be lasting a l o n g time too. Wyze claims up to 6 months. Since the weekend after Christmas until mid January the batter went from 100% full charge down to 93%. Easy to install on door frame and set up using the Wyze app. The only complaint I have is the Setup button on back is TOO EASY to accidentally press.

Great Compliment if You Have Wyze Cams
We already had Wyze cams. Added one of these 3 years ago to our garage entry door. Liked it so much, we bought a second one for our sliding door on our deck. The battery life is so-so, especially during the colder winter months. Otherwise, they work great and install easy. They work very nicely with your other Wyze cams and in your Wyze app.

Can’t go wrong with Wyze!
For price and features, I don’t think this camera can be beat. You can make it all local or join their service for added AI assisted bells and whistles. I love it.The door gets a lot of traffic so even though it’s processing a lot of alerts, battery life is measured in weeks… which is awesome, because I don’t have wired power to the porch except for the porch light. Video quality and night vision are great. It faces east so it gets direct sunlight which some video doorbells struggle with. This still works great and aetup couldn’t be easier.I have only one complaint. It doesn’t really work with Google Home. It shows up there but you can’t do anything with it. I bought it specifically for this feature… but I liked the other functions so much I kept it anyway and just use their app… which is very usable.

Great Doorbell Cam! Terrible Battery Life!
I love this Wyze battery doorbell cam! It is a game changer for monitoring the front porch and entryway. I am a disabled man and cannot get to the door quickly at all. With this camera, I can see, speak to and hear whoever is at the door. I can let them know I’ll be at the door in a few minutes or that I’m not interested if it is a solicitor. You would also be amazed how often Amazon delivery drivers mishandle and or throw your packages onto the porch! After charging the battery, the installation took about 5 minutes! The only downside, and it’s pretty bad compared to the description, the battery life is only 2 weeks MAX! That’s a far cry from 6 months! That is also on power save mode. It is a bit of a hassle to charge the battery that often surprisingly!

EDIT 10/3/25After having this thing for around 9 months, I’m retracting my four-star review and giving it one-star. The battery life is erratic. Sometimes it lasts 2 weeks, sometimes it struggles to last 4 days. It often disconnects from the WiFi or the app. I often have to delete the entire doorbell from my Wyze account and set up from scratch to get it to connect again. It’s very frustrating and never works like it should.I have a lot of Wyze products I really like, but this doorbell is awful. Get a Blink or Ring instead._____Original review: I had a package stolen off my porch and decided to get a video doorbell as a deterrent. I’ve been happy with my other Wyze camera for years, so I thought I’d give their video doorbell a try.Since my front door doesn’t have a spot for wiring, I needed a battery-powered option. Installation was simple with the sticky tape. This model doesn’t support an SD card, so I paid $20 for the Pro account to get AI features and additional storage. It’s much cheaper than other camera plans out there. There’s also a free tier with notifications, but it’s limited.Initially, I had some issues where I had to keep resetting my router because the doorbell wouldn’t connect. After a week or two, that problem seemed to go away. Otherwise, I’m pretty happy with it. The video quality is good, and I get instant notifications on my phone whenever someone walks on my porch or delivers a package. There are plenty of options to personalize your notification and recording settings.The only thing I don’t like is the inflated claims about battery life. The description says “up to six months,” but I got about a week out of it at first. To be fair, I live on a busy street with lots of foot and car traffic. I emailed customer support and asked about settings to improve battery life, like changing which events trigger notifications, making the detection zone smaller, and setting detection sensitivity to low.After making those changes, I now get about 2-3 weeks between charges. It takes around 4-5 hours to fully charge the battery. While 2-3 weeks isn’t awful, it’s nowhere near six months. Again, if you live on a less busy street, you’d probably get better battery life. Most people in reviews claim 3 weeks to a month, so it’s still absurd to claim six months.Overall, I’m pretty happy with the video doorbell. Just make sure to set your battery expectations to around a month.

It was really easy to install this camera. The ability to stick it on the wall without screws was very convenient and never lost grip. It also stays connected well to a wifi and the speaker and microphone works well.

Excellent range of vision. Easy to install wirelessly.Only glitch is the rechargable battery only lasted 2 mths not the ‘up to 6 mths’ they claim. There was no warning to low battery level until one nite the receive went from blue light to red blinking. It takes several hours to recharge fully. Still a great option to have an added security without the need to be hard wired in or have a subscription. I have 4 other Wyze cams so was pleased to add this to my home security.
