ANDROID TABLET with a pen
This VIEWEDGE TAB 11 is an android tablet running android 14. However it is presented here on amazon as a “drawing tablet” because a rechargeable stylus pen is included and the nano-etched screen display was apparently made to be paper-like if you can see that. But I would still instead say expect a very nice android tablet with a pen. And that’s it. It’s up to you to search through the Google Play store to separately get a drawing app or a painting app or coloring app or whatever artsy drawing app if you want to use this tablet as it is apparently advertised for. I got the Sketchbook app since it seemed to be one of the two more popular with like at least 100-million users — it was a free download but I paid like three bucks to permanently unlock its premium features & to get no ads. There was another very popular app but it had a much more expensive ongoing monthly or annual subscription. So you have to pick whichever drawing artsy app that you want to use if you actually want to draw & do artsy drawing stuff on this tablet. Oh the pen is rechargeable — suppose to last 45 hours which I guess means it should last a long time between charges. BUT there is NO slot NOR any pocket holder to store the pen with the tablet when the pen is not in use. Oh Well, I guess I’ll just have to affix some sort of duct tape as like a strap on the tablet’s cover to hold the pen when it’s not in use. Anyways this tablet seems to expect to always(mostly) want to be used in landscape horizontal mode — even if you click the control setting to auto-rotate. I use the Rotation Control app to try to force this tablet into portrait mode when I want it that way. Otherwise just get used to landscape horizontal mode. The specs are good for this new tablet with the Android 14, 6GB RAM, 128GB storage which is expandable if you get a microsd card (accepts up to 1TB), and a plentiful 8000mAh battery. Only WiFi — meaning NOT cellular capable. And this has speakers on both sides/ends to give a real full stereo effect. Great Sound playing my kpop music. Very Nice. The camera seems okay for an android tablet camera — should take okay pictures if you have plenty of light. The included cover is already on this tablet & can fold in the back to act as a stand. Take the cover off and you can admire this tablet’s very nice ipad-like metal-body build which makes the tablet look quality-made. The screen display is anti-glare and looks kinda smoothly frosted — they say it’s like nano-etched soft light glass to be paper-like, to reduce glare & graininess, to reduce eye-strain, and suppose to be Anti-fingerprint. Yeah I would say this tablet does not need a screen protector. I have no idea if this android tablet will ever be upgraded to android 15 — but I would guess maybe possibly an ocassional security android update as well as the expected google play updates. Nice android tablet. Hopefully I won’t lose the pen. Thanks AMAZON & VIEWEDGE.

It’s a respectable budget option.
For the artists looking at this tablet:This is a budget option, for sure. I wouldn’t trade in my iPad for it, but if you are on a tight budget I think this could really help. The screen was a pleasant surprise! Sure, the resolution won’t compare to an iPad, but I found the color grading to be surprisingly accurate to my eye, without overboosted colors. The brightness is a bit on the low end, obviously. But for a budget tablet I was pleasantly surprised with the color grading. I would not have issue picking out colors on this screen. The CPU is Unisoc Tiger T618, most comparable to a Qualcomm 865. I.E, it won’t blow your socks off. I didn’t personally run into much performance issues while drawing, but I only went up to 50 layers. Set your expectations to “5 year old smartphone” in terms of performance. The Pen is there. I wouldn’t complain about it for the price, and it is included with the tablet, apart from the fact that I really wish it would magnetically attach to the tablet or the case Some how.I would describe the palm rejection as “mediocre at best.” Not sure what the cause is but the pen just would not reliably write with my hand resting on the screen.Unfortunately with android tablets like this, don’t expect much in the way of long term support or software updates. Seeing as how the last security update for this tablet was in January… I believe it may already be on EOL.Overall, if you’re an aspiring artist, I will recommend any ipad over this one, however with the pencil included that quickly becomes a pricy option. If you are struggling that much and you need a tablet to get you through school, I can certainly say this one does the job.
