Fun build!
Fun Robot to build with my son. Packaging was really well done, directions were clear and easy to follow. The build overall was entertaining. I am hoping to expand our skills in python, and this seems like the right project. We are excited that we may be able to add Legos to the top to expand the fun. We had a question and customer service was a pleasure to communicate with and answered our software question very promptly.

Amazing AI Robot Car for Learning and Fun!
I purchased the TurboPi AI Vision Robot Car Kit for my STEM-loving teenager, and it has exceeded all expectations! From the moment we unboxed it, we could see the quality and thoughtfulness that went into its design.The Mecanum wheels allow for smooth 360° movement, which is so impressive to watch, and the HD camera combined with OpenCV makes the AI vision recognition tasks like face detection, gesture recognition, and target tracking incredibly engaging. It’s a perfect hands-on way to explore Python programming and AI applications.What we love most is how versatile the TurboPi is. The line-following and autonomous driving features worked flawlessly using both the infrared sensors and the camera. Well Built, everything screws together.
I’m an oldster with limited RSPI experience. Second try to build a robot. First one had plastic rivets to assemble. This one is well built, all screws, easy to take apart if you make a mistake. Loaded the image via the RSPI imager and tried to boot from a USB drive. Doesn’t boot the robot program, so went back to the micro card and it loaded up fine. The robot app is weak, so controlling it is limited. Used their support and they answer quickly. Their videos and PDF don’t synch well, so look at both. Lots of extra screws include, but no labels to know the size. Wished they had a forum to see what others are doing with their robots. Would like to figure out how to control it better. Camera works great and want to use it to inspect my crawl space under the house.

Cool but could be improved. Not a lot of resources to learn how to modify or improve the control
Pretty cool starter kit for a raspberry pi although does not lend to teaching much code involved and restricts you to using an app called wonder pi. The app has some interesting features that the product advertises but there’s little cross over for multiple functions to occur simultaneously. I don’t like that you have to switch between features and you can for instance drive the car while having it enabled with color recognition. Also one of the provided servos was totally shot but luckily I had a few from other projects that were available to use. Over all pretty cool learning kit, basically felt like legos. I’d like more resources on how to modify and code for use with another controller or a dedicated controller with a small lcd screen for camera movement

Fun but challenging
The car is sturdy metal and is interesting to put together. I knock off one star as none of the screws are labeled and the instructions need to be discovered in a Google Drive. The instructions for the Turbo Pi 4B are much clearer and include links to YouTube videos which help a lot, be sure to look at them even if using a RP5. I put back the star as the support is fantastic. I purchased the Turbo Pi 4 by accident to pair with my RP5 and surprise, nothing worked. Support pointed out my error and sent me the correct expansion board free of charge. That is great service.

User Friendly & Great Support!
Worth it! The bot is well made and user friendly. I will probably swap the wheels out for something that works better on my hardwood floor, but other than that its just what I needed!

Poor quality. Poor design. No support.
Poor quality. Poor design. No support. Nothing. The motor shield broke after several hours. The batteries only last several minutes before voltage warnings, and my pi resets. Useless!
