Easy to install, simple thermostat.
I’m a 65 yr old woman who did learn a few things from her handyman dad back in the day. BUT….I’m not fond of messing with electrical things. My old thermostat was on it’s last legs and often times just wasn’t working. This is not a good thing since anyone reading this in the US knows this summer has been a beast! I don’t want or need timers or an app to have to adjust the temp. Just on/off and up/down. My old thermostat (which lasted over 20 years) was no longer available so this was close enough. I had bought this a few weeks ago but since it’s been so hot I was stalling knowing I’d have to turn the power off and I thought the install would take at least an hour or more. I lucked out in that the screw holes were exactly the same so it took me maybe 15 min (including running up and down the stairs for the power) I drew a chart where the wires went (no phone pics as I could just tape the chart to the wall without having to hold a phone) I also lucked out having a computer tool kit around as the screws to put in the wires are tiny and none of my screwdrivers were that small so the tool kit worked perfect. <---so make sure you have a tiny screwdriver. The actual screws are more phillips but my flat worked fine.I can't comment on much as far as how it works as I did this just a little over 48 hours ago but it seems to be accurate and working fine.If I can do it then you can do it. It's not rocket science. Just remember to turn your power off first and make sure you know which wire goes where.

I strutting need better explanation
Nice display easy to hook up only thing is the gas/elec switch slides . I have gas and set to what I thought was gas. Wouldn’t work the heater part but did the fan and AC. Switch to electric and everything works as expected.

Very straightforward device, installed on hydrostatic boiler system. 24v system. Needed 2 AAABatteries. Holds ambient set point within 1 degree. Instruction sheet the size of a postage stamp, but common sense seems enough to make it function properly.

Sooo much happier
After battling with a stupid nest for the past year, I couldn’t be happier with this thermostat. Simple is way better. I don’t need a thermostat that always kicks into eco mode despite being disabled and decides it won’t kick the heat or ac on in order to “protect us.” We have a baby and we need the thermostat to keep the temp where we set it. Couldn’t be happier!

Easy Install, Accuracy seems off
Easy install and comes with jumper wire. However, the temp reading is off. We have an Accurite hanging next to it reading the temp the old thermostat was set at 69 and this one is reading two degrees higher at 71. We have another Accurite one on the fridge that reads the same as the other Accurite at 69. So we will probably have to use the calibration to get it closer to what to actually is in the house.
