Easy to use, great quality
I bought this speaker for my living room setup, and I couldn’t be happier with the sound quality and easy set up.The bass is punchy without being muddy, vocals come through clearly, and the overall balance is just right whether I’m watching movies, playing music, or gaming. It gets loud enough to fill the entire room without any distortion.Build quality feels solid and high-end. Setup was straightforward, and the connection is reliable. It also looks sleek and modern—definitely not something I feel like I need to hide.If you’re looking for a speaker that sounds incredible and looks good doing it, this is a great buy. Highly recommend.

Big, quality sound with a small footprint!
This RIVA Arena is my third from this brand and like the other two, it doesn’t disappoint!I had a RIVA Turbo X about 10 years ago after returning a similar Bluetooth model from another audio manufacturer. The sound was muffled and “muddy” and the output was weak. After a decade of wear and tear (and being knocked over a few times), my Turbo stopped working.Eventually I purchased a Festival to complement my Bluetooth turntable, and once again was blown away by the sound quality. So after looking for a smallish but powerful speaker for my bedroom, and checking more than a few competitors, I decided to try the RIVA Arena, and I’m so glad I did! It’s both stylish and compact with a small footprint (mine is on my nightstand), and it sounds amazing. Rich bass is complemented by bright treble, and both are adjustable in the app. The Trillium technology pioneered by RIVA is truly amazing, making a single speaker sound multi-dimensional.Set up with my iOS devices with Apple AirPlay 2 was easy with the enclosed visual guide, and it can connect via Bluetooth or over WiFi. And in addition to streaming from a phone, tablet or laptop, you can stream from other music servicesNote: this is a powered speaker with a plug in cord (included).Highly recommended!

Could have better audio clarity
Easy to set-up and get connected to Spotify, which is exactly what I was looking for. Given the size of the speaker, I was expecting decent sound quality, however when comparing it to my Amazon Echo 8 in terms of music quality, it’s definitely lacking in the high treble and low bass. Not horrible, and acceptable for my use in our outdoor covered patio area, was just hoping for a bit better quality sound.

An impressive compact speaker
TLDR;Riva Arena is an impressive compact speaker that punches well above its weight in terms of sound fidelity and usability. For its size, Arena delivers quite detailed sound. The highs are crisp, the mids are smooth, and while the bass isn’t overwhelming, it is sufficient for most easy listening scenarios. When paired in a stereo setup, as I’ve done in my home office, the soundstage becomes well expansive for such small speakers, and creates a more immersive listening experience. I have paired it as group in Google Home, and I stream audio from YouTube Music and Spotify. However, Airplay on my mac does not recognize them as a pair, rather as L and R (the names I have configured). It also looks good and modern with its minimalistic design. Friends often underestimate how much sound and fidelity these 2 tiny units output.Since last 6 years, I have a Riva Festival as well. Everyone has just loved its sound. It is just amazing for small games, drinks, dinner parties. While the Arena excels for its size (study, bedside speakers), the Festival provides a more complete audio experience with deeper bass and greater room-filling capability. If budget and space allow, I would recommend buying a single Festival might be preferable for those seeking fuller sound without needing multiple units. If the need is just something smart looking, convenient for easy listening which you can stream out of phone you cannot go wrong with Arena.I started with a 4 star, up-ing it to 5 given its price-performance value.

Completely unusable but sounds nice
This speaker, when I managed to get it to play some music, sounded good. I am not an audiophile or anything but it was better sounding than some other Bluetooth speakers I have used. This speaker feels heavier for its size which bodes well for quality. All of that being said the unit is practically unusable. I was able to connect via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. I was only able to connect to Wi-Fi after guessing the password since the documentation did not mention the Wi-Fi password anywhere. 12345678 for anyone who needs it. The documentation recommends using Google Home for speaker setup. At no point was the device able to be seen by Google Home. I installed the app provided by company, this app is basically in its alpha version. Some buttons in the app did not work at all, others were inaccessible due to the screen scaling being off. The app was unable to locate the speaker using Bluetooth, which was odd because I had it playing music via Bluetooth at the time. When I did finally get the app to see it there was no way to enter the information for my Wi-Fi network to teach the speaker. After some digging online I found that the speaker is accessible via a webpage. On the webpage there was no useful settings or the ability to teach the speaker about my network.Overall the price to sound was good enough for me but I am sending it back because I wanted a Wi-Fi speaker and I am unable to get this speaker onto my Wi-Fi.
