My Front Door’s New Best Friend
I recently installed the Ring Doorbell and it’s been a great upgrade for my home. The video quality is clear during the day and surprisingly good at night. The motion alerts come through quickly, and I like being able to check who’s at the door right from my phone.Setup was simple—took only a few minutes—and the app is easy to use. I also like that I can review recordings whenever I need to. The two-way audio is loud and clear, which makes talking to delivery drivers really convenient.Overall, the Ring Doorbell gives me peace of mind and feels reliable. Definitely recommend it if you want better security and a simple smart-home setup.

Great product, but review plans before purchase!
I was worried about installation of this product because I had only had the Ring battery cameras but it was easy! Took me through each step in the app and it made it super understandable. (I still recommend those that don’t feel comfortable with electricity to hire a professional – don’t risk it). WiFi connection has been great and video and sound quality is good. A little pricier than I had hoped but definitely worth it if it doesn’t require charging and lasts a long time. We do have a Ring subscription in order to record videos – so be sure to look into these plans or what you would like to spend before purchasing.

Ring is a good purchase
Love love ring products. Wish they wouldn’t have raised the price for the subscription. This is a wired doorbell so the battery is charged constantly. Quality pictures and great with motion detection (annoying to some degree if you leave the notifications on). Good value for the money and keeps a good connection to the WiFi network.

Amazing Doorbell — Installation Hardware Needs Improvement
The Ring doorbell itself is a great product. Setup was fairly easy to follow, the video quality is excellent, and the wide-angle lens is truly impressive — it captures a large area and provides a clear picture.The downside is the lack of mounting options and limited support for common installation scenarios. There are no proper mounting plates available to attach the doorbell to a metal electrical gang box, which is a very common setup. I was honestly surprised that Ring or third-party manufacturers don’t offer a compatible solution.Because of this, I had to purchase a mounting plate from another brand and modify it just to make it work. It functions, but this should not be necessary for a product at this price point.If Ring addressed this issue with proper mounting accessories, this would be an easy five-star product.

Playback video Fails – Resolved
After a week the doorbell plus is sporadic in playing back video. Message read “Can’t play video”. I have submitted for a replacement. Hopefully the new one will work.Ring tech assist contacted me and problem appears to be resolved. The Tech said he will contact me next week to follow up to make sure it is working properly.

Mechanical chime does not work
Installed today, and very happy with a video quality. But did not work with the mechanical chime from the previous doorbell, I had read that previous versions supported the chime. Not sure if there is any workaround but could not seemto figure out. The included mini chime is terrible with low volume and low quality sound. Except the chiming, the doorbell is good.
