REALLY good for the price!
For the price I wanted to get through 1 summer. I could care less after that. And well, it got through the summer and is still going. Sounds quality I would give a 7.5 and I am VERY picky about sound. I have expensive stereos and setups all over my house but didn’t want to drop something crazy in my bass boat. This thing is great. EASY to install. Only issue for me was that the USB does not work with my ipod nor my iphone. I assume Apple updates its products and software and this stereo can’t handle it, so I just run my ipod via the 1/8th headphone jack. Works GREAT. Gets really loud and has pretty decent low end for the price. Happy I bought it, if it last another year I’ll be really happy.

Nice head unit with nice features.
I purchased this head unit along with the Jensen Marine MGH 300 cover and the Dual MAR16W antenna. Instillation was pretty straightforward and the remote is a nice feature. I mounted the unit inside my cuddy so now just hit the remote and you got music. The sound is acceptable for my purposes. I can hear it well while trolling and while my main inboard is running. I really like the thumb drive port on this unit. I have many CD’s downloaded to a drive so it makes it easy to listen to what you want. All in all its been a nice unit, but only time will tell on its longevity.

Installed this unit in my travel trailer with a pyle speaker switch and one speaker inside, one outside. Easy install… just had to hold my breath when cutting into my trailer wall. Had all the holes cut, test wired. No worries. Speaker A , worked. Speaker B did not. Hmmm, I said. Must be the switch. Nope tested fine. Must be the speaker, nope. Tested fine. We’ll gosh, did I wire something backwards? Nope. Believe it or not, the (+) wire for one of the speakers had a bad connection at the terminal. Who would of thunk it? ??? Anyhoo, super impressed with the sound and look. Great little unit. Great price. Minus one star for the QC issue on the speaker wire.

So many epic failures on behalf of this product – where to start:1. Installation manual says to remove the outer trim ring. GOOD LUCK! I’ve installed so many steros in my life I’ve lost count, and I am very careful when it comes to the trim as they normally are only held by a few tabs. This was the case with this unit – Two tabs broke right off.2. The manual tells you to remove 2 screws, that DONT EXIST (and the manual has the model on it)3. The operating instructions seem complete, but mostly don’t do what they say. USB Users beware. Want multiple folders?? FORGET IT! It appears to say you can have them but the operation doesn’t work. Everything is ROOT () and nothing else. It seems to move between folders on it own, but good luck getting it to do it.I bought this because it seemed to be a good deal, and the reviews are pretty good from Amazon. I think those who have had bad experiences aren’t posting enough.This truly is a PLYE of crap.UPDATE 7/23/2012 – Like many of the other reviews seen here, the unit is down pretty much DEAD. It pulses now and then to look like it’s trying to start, but fails.Spend some money on a quality deck, forget this trash!

You get what you pay for.My 90 watt 1999 JVC marine speakers that came stock with the boat are better quality than these fire alarm loudspeakers. The head unit isnt bad. Although i don’t think they sent the remote. It doesn’t matter since i installed them in a wooden box for use wth my old 1999 speakers to play music from a car battery by my firepit in the woods.

I just mounted the radio in my bass boat. It was a good deal. I ordered it with the water resistant housing and the marine am/fm antenna. I read some of the reviews good and bad. I didn’t find the bad reviews to be true for me. The only problem I had was I didn’t realize there was two 12 volt leads until it didn’t work the first time. When I found my mistake and rewired, it works great. I suggest that the Pyle company make a note that both are required to make the radio work. I am touchy when it comes to wiring. I liked the housing prewired except I am used to red as positive and black as negative. Be careful to watch for color code. I used red and black out from the case to keep it straight for me. I also solder and use shrink sleeves for all connections, which will make the unit trouble free under all weather conditions. All In all I am very satisfied with this unit. I just hope the fish will enjoy it as much as I do. Thank’s!

Great unit for the right price. I have seen a lit if comments how this radio doesn’t work. You need to be sure to bring power to both your red and yellow wires which was my problem. My guess is that is what most people are experiencing. Good luck, great unit so far.

Overall a nice piece of kit. Easy to install and use. The only gripe I have is with the instructions which , at best are in poor English, but more seriously are plain wrong on the installation details! In the endI ignored them and figured it out myself.
