Amazing performance for the price
I can’t find anything wrong with these speakers – bass, midrange, treble, soundstage. It’s all there and it’s amazing for the price. Super enjoyable to listen too, makes the music come to life. I purchase lower cost (under $150) bookshelf speaker offerings off of amazon as they pop up and listen to them for amusement. More often than not, the lower cost speakers are better than expected. These are no different, but much more so. For under $120 at the time of this review – they *easily* sound as good as anything in the $500-800/pr range by more respected manufacturers. I’ve Got them running off a Fosi V3 amp using a FiiO KA11 Lightning to 3.5mm Audio Adapter streaming music from Spotify (@ CD quality). I’ve stated this before in other reviews – your experience may differ, but I doubt it if you have at least the gear I stated. Anyone who has negative reviews about this speaker – likely has hearing problems or mediocre electronics.

Better than much more expensive speakers, blown away!
First of all I want to say that I’ve been into high end stereo gear for many decades. I’ve designed and built my own speaker systems with high end components. Like most audiophiles, I’m always looking for something better. The problem is that there is no “one” fits all music “perfect” speaker. There are so many types of listening. I like hard driving ( in your face) speakers with that kick in the chest for my workouts, I also like spacious open sounding speakers with some volume when I’m doing stuff around the house. And I also like low to medium volume intricate sounding speakers when I just want to sit and sip on wine and really listen to everything going on in the details of the music.Well I can tell you that these Pyle’s were an incredible blow me away experience. Totally unexpected. I wanted something that sounded great at moderate levels that didn’t becoming annoying at long listening sessions as many do. I ordered three pairs of speakers from Amazon to make comparisons. The first were KEF Q350 much acclaimed bookshelf speakers. These I found to have exaggerated boomy upper bass tones and less than smooth mids and highs. The second were the Elac debut 2.0 B6.2 bookshelf speakers these were very similar to the KEF’s but at least less expensive than the $500 sale price of the KEF’s.The Pyles were substantially lighter in weight than the other two pairs, that was the first thing I noticed. With that, I assumed they were of a lesser quality. Very wrongfully so! So what do these sound like? These speakers sound like much larger speakers with deep bass! Not boomy but near flat. The speakers have a very flat clear response and easy to listen to right out of the box. The mids and highs are defined but smooth. I did adjust the Internal EQ on my Amazon high definition audio app, which I highly recommend! I use a high quality DAC Bluetooth receiver to deliver the sound to my stereo. I cut down just a tad around 2k and slightly boosted the lowest frequency to bring out the lows a bit more (and they can take it).Overall,.in my opinion, Pyle knocked it out of the park with these little gems. I could not be happier. At $125 for the pair, these are the best kept secret in the industry!

Pyle Bookshelf Speakers
The speakers sound great,I would recommend you have a powerful amp and equalizer to get the best sound. The bass suffers at high volume s. Good build quality. Overall for the price they are good.

Pyle 6.5″ bookshelf speaker review, Very Nice.
Supper Nice! These sound great with my restored HeathKit receiver! Very nice finish, 5-way binding posts are mounted securely and are angled for easy connections. They weight a lot for a 6.5 size cabinet. Very pleased with my purchase, Thanks from Indianapolis!

The instruction manual wasn’t kidding: They need a while to break in.
Five starts for now, I’ll edit if I need to. You MUST let them break in. First ten minutes was misery, like, absolute ratty and horrid. I was just about to pack them up for return, and then they started to relax a little. About an hour in now, and they sound great. I’m using the Pyle two channel 240W amp. They’re a little on the brittle side in the high-mids, slighty muddy in the lowest bass, but for the money they’re a huge improvement over the cheap computer speakers I was using. I’m not an audiophile but I do know at least something about how music should sound.

Bang for you Buck!
I don’t write nearly as many reviews as I probably should because I certainly read them all the time. And I can’t ever remember doing a review on a product that I returned. But this is what happened with these terrific speakers! I’m currently using the Klipsch RP-600M Reference Premiere Bookshelf Speakers with my Eversolo Play – CD Edition (which I really like despite its apparent lack of party-level high volume). I chose the Klipsch as my first choice mainly due to their sensitivity level as they are purported to have a loud sound–albeit sometimes described as too bright, harsh or “lively”–even at moderate volume levels. Now I know volume knobs differ and that lowest to highest level isn’t necessarily linear but algorithmic or geometric or whatever the word might be. I don’t know I’m not an audiophile. I just think it’s odd to have to turn the volume almost all the way up to be even modestly loud. So I’m searching for speakers that don’t require me to crank the volume to the max to get reasonably loud sound. These Pyle 6.5″ Home Audio Speakers were a pair that I tested. I almost chose them over the $350 Klipsch! Key word is almost. They got almost as loud, even seemed to have a bit more detail, dare I say clarity, with some genre/songs. They even look better than the Klipsch! (subjective, I know) But alas they lacked the bass and fullness of the Klipsch speakers and didn’t get quite as loud either but they were darn close! For $114 these are incredible speakers. If you’re on a tight budget or looking for a smaller room…den/office/bedroom, I wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend them. I nearly kept them even though I have no real use for them…that’s how good they are! For the cost, they are 5 star speakers.

So if you are not use to good sound or have never heard a high quality bookshelf speaker you might say these are good. But they sound less then ok. They look great but small stuff like name badge placed crooked and off centre was a downer as it’s glued on and won’t remove without damaging grill cloth. They sound just blah. Nothing to write home about. My source was my NAD amp, I will run them on the tube amp shortly and update.UPDATE**So after connecting a cheap hybrid tube amp while streaming off my phone, I have found myself completely eating my words. I’m sure now there is an issue with my NAD receive and these speakers deserve a much better review then originally posted. They are detailed, sound very lively and honestly sound better then my home speakers do.I am still not pleased with the crooked logo but I do care if they sound this good. I have approx 4hrs on them now and they still wow me.

First off we should temper our expectations from a speaker at such a low price. Specially one with a rather large 6.5in woofers. What I noticed after listening to these speakers is that they are quite bright with a peaky treble at ~7khz and ~10khz area creating a bit of “buzz” in the highs. The Bass is lacking unfortunately, i think you will be best getting a subwoofer if you want these. Trying to add more bass via EQ will make the mids sound muddy. These speakers need a lot of power so I don’t recommend a tube amp. I’m glad Pyle didn’t add fake bass boost like most budget speakers but I still expected more out of 6.5in woofers. The midrange is somewhat neutral to recessed. Imaging is good and very centred. Soundstage is great for the price.Volume is good if you have the power (~100w RMS) and it fills up a medium sized room without distortion at 90db. If you’re using this for a home theater setup, the hardest part will be finding a matching center (there is none). For that reason I wouldn’t recommend these for home theater. I only used it for stereo 2.1 music so it’s fine. I like the cherry wood finish, but I’m not sure if it’s actually wood though. I don’t like the grille as it’s too thick and lacks magnets. I also think the speakers look ugly from the front so I keep the grille on, but for such a low prices they get the job done.Overall in the budget category the Micca RB42s sound more balanced, are better looking, better built, and offer much better bass. But they cost nearly twice as much as the Pyles in Canada. So If you can equalize these Pyles and get a subwoofer, then I think the Pyles are a better bang for the buck. You could do far worse even at this price range, but you can also do much better at about $100 more.
