A Lifesaver During the Recent Storm!
I cannot recommend this power station enough! We had a power outage last night due to heavy winds, and while the whole neighborhood was dark, our living room had lights, our phones were charged, and we could even watch a movie on the laptop to keep the kids calm. It ran a LED light and two fans for over 6 hours and still had about 40% battery left. The setup was incredibly simple – just press a button and plug in. It’s completely silent, unlike those loud gas generators. The peace of mind this little unit provides is worth every single penny. We’ve now made it a permanent part of our emergency kit. If you’re on the fence about getting one for emergencies, just do it. You won’t regret it.

Reliable Little Solar Panel for Keeping Things Powered Up
I got this solar panel mainly to run a small Meshtastic node out in the yard, and it has been doing a solid job so far. The thing is built tough with an IP65 rating that shrugs off rain and dust, which is perfect for leaving it outside without worrying. It comes with a 9.5 foot cable that gives plenty of flexibility in placement, and the 360 degree adjustable bracket lets you angle it just right to catch the sun no matter where you mount it. Compatibility is a big plus too, since it works with both Type C and Micro USB interfaces, making it easy to hook up to various devices beyond just cameras. What I appreciate most is the steady power output. Even on partly cloudy days, it provides enough juice to keep the node operational without dipping into battery reserves too much. The panel itself feels sturdy, not flimsy like some cheaper options, and the overall design is straightforward without unnecessary frills. It is not meant for plug in cameras, but for low power setups like mine, it fits the bill nicely. Price wise, it seems reasonable for what you get, especially if you want something reliable for outdoor use. If you are looking for a no fuss way to add solar charging to your gadgets, this one is worth considering.

Great eco way to keep security camera battery charged
Date: 26 Aug 2025Stars: 5Title: Great eco way to keep security camera battery chargedAmazon Title: 5W Solar Panel for Security Camera Outdoor, IP65 Waterproof Solar Charger with 9.5ft Cable, 360° Adjustable Bracket, Compatible with Type-C & Micro-USB Inteface Devices(Not for Plug-in Cameras)Specifics: White, model: “NEO”, 5v, 5wUsage: currently used *indoors* pointing out a SW window to keep battery powered security camera charged.Summary: so far the panel is working great! The camera battery has been at near 100% for the last 10 days.Pros:+ very easy to put together+ very easy to use – just plug it in and point it at the sun/outside+ economical+ ecological/green+ panel provides sufficient power to keep camera battery charged, even on semi-sunny days from behind a window.+ uses standard USB-C or micro USB connection and to provide power – should fit many types of cameras+ fairly long power cord make it easier to put the panel facing the sun without moving the camera+ comes with silicone “boot” to cover the the micro-USB/USB-C adapter where needed.+ exterior mounting is straight forward+ exterior mount makes a good stand if placed on a table or other horizontal surfaceMajor issues: None to dateMinor issues:x the power cord is fixed to the panel vs a plug port. This makes it more waterproof but limits the life of the panel to the life of the power cord which could shorten the usage time.Note: All reviews and opinions expressed are solely my own, based on personal experiences and preferences with the reviewed products. Nice construction and mount but doesn’t seem like 5W panel
This panel features solid construction and includes practical mounting hardware. The key functional element is a USB connector providing the raw voltage output from the cell array. The use of a USB connector is non-standard for an unregulated output source. As tested, the output voltage is entirely dependent on light conditions.Under bright sunlight, the observed open circuit voltage reached 6.2V. This exceeds the standard USB 5V specification, requiring any connected equipment to possess adequate overvoltage protection. When tested indoors, the panel produced no output. On an overcast day, measurements indicated a non-functional range of 2.5V to 3V. This is insufficient to meet the typical ≈4.4V minimum input required by most contemporary MPPT/switching charge controllers. The panel is only intended for charging use and indeed did not power a direct USB camera.Testing under load (cell phone) did not achieve its nominal 5W power specification. With a turned-off cell phone connected, the panel voltage dropped from the 6.2V open-circuit value to 4.7V. The attached device indicated a charging state at 4.7V, yet no significant charging current was supplied. Powering up the phone still showed a charging indication, but drew minimal power from the panel topping out around 1W observed draw. The panel is physically durable, but I couldn’t get it to deliver the advertised power.

This comes with everything you need to power wireless cameras
This product has been used to power outdoor cameras and has been working flawlessly for over 30 days. Build quality is as expected and mounting was simple and easy. The solar panel came with mounting hardware and several options for USB-C or micro USB. Everything is as expected or better. This has easily been able to keep my wireless camera at 90% to 100% charged, durable, and in place at all times during all weather situations (heavy rain, fog, storms, strong sun, wind, etc.). This is a perfect solution for any outdoor 5W charging solution.
