Highly Recommend: Includes 1-Receiver (Plug-in) And 2-Transmitter Buttons
Love this product because it is/was easy to install and set up. We chose the two transmitters version so our dog can let us know when he wants to go out, and when he is ready to come inside. Additionally, training our dog to use Smart Bell has taken out the stress of worrying about our canine family member needing to go out to do his business, or simply wants to enjoy the backyard, or when he is ready to come back inside because he now communicates using this system.Installation: Smart Bell comes with everything needed to install and includes several 3M sticky pads for mounting the transmitters without drilling holes in the wall, etc. After a couple trial installations for the inside transmitter, we finally settled on attaching it to the inside glass of the door opposite the outside transmitter (see photo). WARNING: The sticky pads work very, very, well and the transmitter is not easily removed if you decide to move it. In our case, we tried two different locations on the drywalls and I used a putty knife with some effort to carefully pry it off without damage to the paint/wall.Training: Key to the training was to get our dog interested in the transmitter (button) to begin with, achieved by smearing a tiny bit of peanut butter on the button face. Because he was a puppy at the time, he was not pressing hard enough to actuate the bell when he licked at the peanut butter. That got him interested and what finally worked was to wipe a high-value treat across the face of the button, leaving its scent. He could smell the treat and began pressing with his nose and using his paw looking for the treat, activating the bell. As soon as the bell sounded, we opened the door, praised him, and offered him a treat outside the door to get him to go outside. We used the same method to get him to activate the bell to come in. Being highly “treat” motivated he quickly associated the bell with getting treats and we weaned him off as he soon understood the bell would get him out and in the door. We still give him a treat when he comes in as a reward for letting us know he is done outside and ready to come in.The Smart Bell is programmed with 38-different chimes and 4-differnt volume settings. Downside: There is no list and you must cycle through each chime to decide the one you want to use. BIGGER DOWNSIDE: If the home loses power, Smart Bell defaults to the first chime. It does not hold the choice in memory. Where we live, we have lost power often enough that we just use the default chime . . .Durability/Performance: Purchased and installed in November 2022, and as of this writing the outside transmitter exposed to all our weather, dirty/muddy paws and even a slight bit of biting for just over a year and works as designed every time.Recommendation: Highly recommend!

Perfect!!
I first purchased a different bell for my dog. We started with a physical bell that hung from the door which was not as effective for us hearing him ringing it. We then purchased a doorbell that did not click like this one and was touch activated but the sensor was not wide enough and my puppy could touch it but the bell wouldn’t go off so we decided to give this one a try. Boy am I glad we did The fact that this one actually presses and clicks changes everything My puppy knows he has to push it until it clicks before he gets to go outside. This works fantastically The functionality is awesome. I think it’s a little expensive compared to the others but the fact that it is more effective makes it worth it. It is super sticky once you place it you are not removing it unless you have a screwdriver. It’s designed well and works awesome and the speed and ease of install took a whole 5 minutes. Highly recommend

Great, modern alternative to the jingle bells
This unit is a pretty cool alternative to the usual bells one hangs by the door for potty training. It’s a flexible, and stylish alternative. We’re techies, so having something a little less “analogue” than a strip with bells on it is right up our alley. All three of my dogs are potty trained, but they each have their own, quirky way of letting us know. I thought this might be a good way to provide a consistent signal that they all could get on board with. The older ones actually caught on the fastest and the youngest took a little bit. But now, we’ve got a pretty good signal that can be heard by either of us to let someone out. It’s worked pretty well so far.PROS:• The trigger unit is non-battery powered so it can be stuck anywhere• The range from the trigger to the bell is pretty good; in my house it’s about 25′ away• The trigger is very sensitive, making it easy for any dog to activate• Lots of bell choices. LOTS of them.CONS:• There are lots of bell choices, but some of them are really annoying. The “Westminster Chimes?” REALLY?! A lot of choices is no good if half of them sound like cheesy greeting cards.• Still on the fence about the 3M sticky pad connection. I’m afraid it’s either going to tear off a big piece of paint one day if a dog whacks it too hard, or it’ll eventually just fall off. So far it’s held up. I would have preferred the option to mount it another way. This comes with another pad with screw holes in it—I guess you’re supposed to screw the pad to the wall and then stick the trigger to it? Seems a little bogus. Either too permanent or not sticky enough. I guess we’ll see.• The sensitive trigger is nice for a variety of dogs, but it almost always “double taps” and the alert tone hiccups. Unless it’s a dead center touch, in and out, it hiccups. Any sideways motion (which a dog will do 100% of the time) and it’ll do that. Those are really my only gripes and they’re small compared to the benefits I’ve gotten. The advantages someone with a puppy or newly adopted older dog would get from this are huge, and I would say any of the Cons above should be taken with a grain of salt. This is a nice unit that’s easy to set up and use!

The bell rings like a doorbell so the dogs can let me know when they need to go outside to do their business

Good product. Easy install. Trained our dog to use it and works well.

It’s extremely helpful during potty training. I found that placing the button on the door teaches my dogs to scratch the door itself and was harder to train to do it.. but we opted to place the button on the floor by the door, they just step on it when they want to go out. The variety of bell chime sounds and volumes is great. With some training and patience, we haven’t had a single accident in the house since! Highly recommend.

This is life-changing stuff, absolutely brilliant! Over the course of a weekend, our 10-week-old pup who would slip unnoticed to the door and have an accident when we failed to notice her quietly waiting in place is proud to “Touch” the doorbell to announce her need and desire to go outside, and when she’s finished, come back in. There are great notes included in the install guide on training as well! The two sensors are perfect – one for inside – one for outside to signal coming back in. They work great – no issues transmitting from out in the Alberta cold. A ton of ringtones, but only if you like the sing-song musical doorbells that drive most people to disconnect them permanently. There is one bell-tone option, but it gets the job done! The touch sensor is fairly sensitive – good for somewhat tentative nose-taps, but nothing that will be constantly activated accidentally. If in doubt, buy it!

This company stands behind their product, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.We purchased one in April 2023, our dog picked up how to use it within minutes.Today the receiver unit stopped working, I ordered a replacement but also contacted the company to see if there was anything I could do to reset the device. They have gone above and beyond and are sending us a replacement receiver. , not many companies would replace a device after two years of use.
