Great value XLR microphone
I bought the Blue Ember microphone listed as renewed for $38, and it honestly looks completely brand new. The box still looked factory sealed, had all the original foam padding, manuals, and accessories, and even included a sticker that said “New – Renewed.” on the bottom of the box Based on that alone, it seems like the mic I got was never even used.The mic itself has zero smudges, zero scratches, and no cosmetic damage at all. It looks exactly like a new retail unit. If this is what “renewed” means, I’m more than happy.Sound quality is excellent for the price. For $38, you’re getting clean, clear audio that works great for vocals, streaming, voiceovers, podcasts, and content creation. Even though Logitech discontinued this mic, it’s still a solid all-around condenser microphone.At this price, it feels like an absolute steal. If you’re looking for a great-sounding mic on a budget or want to add a versatile mic to your setup, this is a great buy.

Worthy of its price tag
The Blue Ember seems like a good mic. I’ve only used cheap mics (less than $50) and I’m not much of a singer so…. Anyway, the mic seems to have good sensitivity and there was nothing unusual in the frequency response that I noticed with my vocals. It is an improvement on my less expensive mics so I am guessing that it’s on par with other similarity priced mics.It has a nice weight to it and has a metal enclosure. It includes a custom adapter for a mic stand, at least I’ve not seen one like it before, it’s not a shock mount type. I haven’t noticed any noise/hissing/ac hum etc. Obviously it’s XLR and requires phantom power. I’ve no regrets about buying it.
