Very pleasantly surprised with this iPad case / keyboard. I purchased a slim folio for $80+ when I bought my iPad and grew frustrated with the magnetic mechanism that connected and engaged the keyboard – when it didn’t connect well (if at all) there was no way to use the keyboard or to charge the hardware. Within 6 months it stopped connecting altogether, rendering it useless.Enter this keyboard – I needed something fast and was hesitant to spend much, so I gave this a whirl. I paid a fraction of the folio price – this keyboard is Bluetooth AND detachable from the base. I was concerned there could be a lag with BT connection, but it’s as responsive / quick as the folio, and now I’m not beholden to a finicky magnetic connection that wears out. This folio has magnetic closures / binders too, but importantly, these magnets have no bearing on the ability to connect or USE the keyboard with the iPad, they are simply for closure and stability.This folio is slightly bulkier / heavier, and I do wish it folded down a little smaller when the iPad is in use without keyboard BUT this is a small quibble. This is simple to use, reliable, effective, easy to charge and a nice protective shell for a crazy good price.I got the pink cuz of shipping speed and price – it’s a nice, soft pink – not Barbie pink, so I like it, and since it’s just personal use, I think it’s a fun break from the normal black / gray / navy tech cover.Will report back with any durability / reliability issues but so far so good – and did I mention the insanely low price? Great value – very happy and highly recommend.
