Sparkling bling of the Royal series while keeping Trident series
I didn’t get any instructions so I had to figure it out but you pop off the old light bar. Getting my fingernail on the side, where the little hook is was the easiest way to remove the old one. Then pop in the new one. Other comment mentioned it was loose but mine didn’t see loose. One picture shows the old bar after they were removed.Now everyone can get the sparkly bling of G.Skill Royal.For: anyone who already has G.Skill Trident series that are good and you are not willing to replace the memory for Royal series just for sparkly bling.

These fit a bit loose on the Trident Z Neo RAM sticks compared to the OEM ones. But it’s not like RAM sticks are meant to be moved around, so not an issue just an observation.Overall I’m satisfied. My RAM now looks like the Trident Z Royal at the fraction of the cost and with better speeds/CAS latency.Worth the price if you were considering the Trident Z Royal RAM.

Fits perfectly
Works with my GSkill TridentZ Neo RAM kit – looks bright and beautiful – doesn’t increase the temps of the RAM either even underload vs the stock light diffuser. Best upgrade so far visually to my PC and costs a fraction of the TridentZ Royals.

Best option I’ve seen; but not perfect
I ended up really wanting to like these but every one of them sat in my G.SKILL NEOs a little too loose. They look pretty good, but there’s some light bleed along the sides of some of the sticks. If you’re looking to mod something so small then you’re probably very meticulous and a little bit of light bleed is going to annoy you. I ended up throwing these in a spare parts box as they’re not worth me returning, and maybe I’ll mod them to fit better someday down the road.

Look just like the original
I own a TridentZ Royal. Due to a new requirement I had to increase my RAM capacity and bought two more sticks of TridentZ Neo. After doing the mod, the Neos look exactly like the Royal, even down to the color hue, lightning level, etc. There is maybe a 1mm height difference that is very hard to spot. I’m happy with this product.

This is essentially my fault for not understanding the label however, as a warning to others who may not know any better, these light diffusers will not be compatible with any or all G.Skill Z series RAM sticks. They are designed specifically for the “Trident Z RGB” sticks and won’t work on “Trident Z5 Neo RGB” sticks. Should’ve doubled checked to ensure compatibility but I can’t be too mad about losing $20
