Exactly what you want from an elegant and rugged fitness watch
This thing is tough. the sapphire is still free of scratches after 4 months of a lot of activity. I was concerned about display brightness but it is easily readable. I prefer it over OLED devices. It’s not harsh on the eyes at night. The flashlight is fantastic! I use it daily. My Apple Watch Ultra 2 feels like I have an ankle monitor on, constantly sending notifications. 20 plus days of battery life is no exaggeration.

Battery life is great!
This watch has been great. Battery lasts about 20 days on a full charge using all of the options. The screen is a little dark and can be hard to see at times, however I like that because I don’t want it to be lighting up the night. It works well with the iPhone and the band is very comfortable.

Great watch
Upgraded from the ambit solar 2 – this has everything that had and much more. Golf and maps in the watch memory are a huge plus. One negative is the solar charging is not as robust as with the previous watch. Probably due to the color screen and screen size being larger. Great purchase all in all.

Solar and Sapphire is worth it.
I had a Fenix 5X and could get ~14 hours of workouts which was somewhere between 7-10 days depending on my training. That watch failed after 4 years (unfortunately) so I got the Fenix 7X solar. I’m very glad I splurged for solar model because I get roughly 2x the use per charge.I use a small fraction of the features on this watch. I use the GPS, the heart rate and a number of add-on BT sensors to collect the data while I train, but haven’t bothered to dig into many of the other features.I’m also super-hard on gear. My first Garmin GPS watch (105 I think) I put a big gash across the crystal before I’d had it even 2 months and was so disappointed. The Sapphire crystal is basically indestructible, which is what I need.

Great watch
This is really a great watch. The only drawback is the screen illumination isn’t vibrant at all. It has very flat colors but that is the only con I could find with this watch. If it had better screen lighting with brighter coloring it would be 5/6 for sure. Batter life is about 15-17 days depending on your level of activity. I usually workout for about 1 hour total 4-5 days a week. It charges in about 2.5hrs from 5% to 100%. Really a good watch if you don’t mind a dull watch face. Easy to setup and customize if you download the Garmin IQ app you will have access to lore watch face designs.
