Best Bike Speaker in its Price Range
I bought this in the Spring of 2021. It is now almost Fall 2021. I bought this primarily for my bike. I’ve had a few different speakers for my bike in the past few years. Most of them were pretty good, but flawed. And most of the flaws originated in the way they attached to the bike. I do not want a speaker that sits in my water bottle cage, so I need one that attaches to the handlebars or near the handlebar stem. And the speakers I’ve had in the past all had mounts that broke – some quickly, others over time.Anyway, about this speaker. It’s a good size, a little bigger than a hockey puck. The sound quality is really good for something so small. There are 5 buttons, but they are pretty easy to use. Power On/Off, Bluetooth Pairing, Volume up, Volume down, and an action button. I’m surprised they didn’t combine the Bluetooth Pairing button with the power button. The action button is used to play, pause, skip, and rewind. One tap to play or pause, two taps to skip, three taps to rewind. It’s not the best system, but it works OK.The speaker attaches to my bike via a stretchy silicon strap in the back. You unhook it, wrap it around the bike, and hook it back up. I was not confident at all in this strap, and was pretty sure it would have broken by now. But, I ride two or three times a week and it’s been 6 months, and so far so good. Generally speaking, I ride from April to November. If this thing lasts me two riding seasons, I will be very happy. The other thing to mention is that this speaker requires you to install Bose software. I don’t think it’s very intrusive. It’s small, doesn’t get in the way, and the speaker quickly connects to my phone without any issues. If that was not the case, I would be very annoyed. But, so far, I haven’t been annoyed by it.Edit Summer 2023:I’ve now owned this speaker for 2.5 years. I only really use it when I’m biking. I bike about 90 minutes a day, about three days a week, about 8 months out of the year. That comes to about 140 hours per year on my bike. The speaker is still in good shape. It looks almost brand new. It works perfectly fine. It sounds as good as ever. And the part of the speaker I was most worried about, the strap, has not failed me yet. If I could give this 6 stars, I would. I’m still very happy with this purchase, and if it ever fails, I will buy a new one from Bose.

Big sound for something so small
I was very skeptical that this little black box could improve the sound coming from my phone, but boy was I wrong! I’m not a techie and can’t tell you about bass and treble and everything in between, but this little speaker is amazing. The very reasonable price probably means it’s an older generation, but I sure don’t see a need to trade up. One of my best purchases. Thanks Boze!

Mighty Sound in a Mini Package
The SoundLink Micro is proof that great things come in small sizes. Despite its compact build, the sound is bold, clear, and surprisingly deep—perfect for outdoor adventures, kitchen jams, or shower singalongs. The bass has real punch, and vocals come through crisp and clean. It’s rugged, waterproof, and built to travel. The tear-resistant strap makes it easy to clip onto a backpack or bike, and the battery life holds up well for day trips and spontaneous dance breaks.Bluetooth pairing is fast and reliable, and the speakerphone feature is a handy bonus. Whether I’m camping, cleaning, or just relaxing, this speaker brings the vibe every time.

Be clear about what your needs are and you won’t be disappointed.
I have had these for a little more than 2 years now and its a tiny beast. There are few things you need to be aware of before making a purchasing decision. The things which were important to me are listed below:1) Sound and Bass – is it a good replacement for my laptop or phone speakers while travelling ? – YES2) Small footprint or small size for easy portability – does it fit inside a small backpack or laptop bag ? – YES3) Weatherproof and Waterproof – can I enjoy music while taking a shower or camping outside ? – YES4) Price and Performance – is it worth $99 compared to similar sized products in this category ? – YESNow some unrealistic expectations or misconceptions about this product:1) The bass and sound is poor – Check the sound settings of your laptop, specially in Windows 10. Click on the volume icon and you’ll see a drop down menu on top which should read “Speakers (your Bose speaker name)”. If the menu reads “Headset Earphone” mode, the sound quality will suffer and you won’t get good bass. It is because your speaker is acting as a mic at the same time. Just switch it to “Speaker” mode and you will get the clear sound back.2) The connectivity issues – It is a minor issue but not a big one for me. And it is an easy fix. To save battery, the Bose speaker is defaulted to 5 mins on the “Sleep Mode”. Just change the setting to a longer time through the Bose App.3) The strap doesn’t hold the speaker – Well it is a struggle if you are trying to put it over a large piece of pole or an object. From my understanding the size is perfect for it to kept anywhere. It does not need to be latched on to something. It is not made for tough bike rides, if that is your priority get a different speaker which has a carabiner or use in ear style wireless buds.Overall this thing is sturdy and with moderate rough handling, it hasn’t showed any signs of wear or tear in 2 years. I am really happy with the product quality and the sound. It is a dream for avid travelers and for people on the move. Don’t use this speaker as a party speaker, it won’t serve that purpose for you. Get a different Bose product or speaker to fulfill that need. Be very clear with what your needs are.Thank you for reading this.

Fácil de usar, excelente sonido y gran fidelidad del audio. Muy buena para llevar a todas partes, no pesa mucho y la conectividad es relaticamente sencilla, solo debes tener la app de Bose.
