    Powerful little box
I had a Lenovo mini-PC that I used for a home theater PC running Plex for several years, and it recently died (HDD failed). I was looking for a relatively cheap replacement that I could get quickly. The Beelink Mini S12 so far (one day in) is looking like it provides plenty of performance at a budget-friendly price, and is easy to set up.Out of the box, I just plugged in a BT dongle for a mouse and keyboard, ethernet, HDMI and power, and I was setting up Windows 11. In less than an hour I had all the Windows updates downloaded and installed. In short order I was able to install Plex and get it connected to my media storage NAS, and even installed Docker Desktop to run a private MineCraft server.Time will tell if this is a durable device (as I said, I’ve had it running less than 24 hours at this point). But it’s small, silent, and doesn’t seem to produce any appreciable heat (always a concern in such a compact device). It lacks a dedicated GPU but the chipset didn’t seem to have any problems with displaying anything. I didn’t run any high-intensity graphics tasks (no local games or anything), and wouldn’t expect to. But for a HTPC or an inexpensive home server device running docker containers or something, it so far seems like a home run.

    Wow! This computer is amazing.
Ok. This new unit replaced my old unit that I had purchased back in 2012. I have been using a laptop forever and just wanted to bring my main system up to date. To be honest, the speed is impressive and my Wi-Fi signal isn’t the best. Lots of storage that is expandable and the gigs does make a huge difference. I have it in the man cave hooked up to a 50 inch tv. Played a few games but, the refresh rate is on par with me. Nothing slow occurred. Installed streaming apps and the pics are sharp. The small size is insane! I have a ton of real estate after getting the old dinosaur system out. Windows 11 is much friendlier to set up. Easier to install tons of data from the cloud and so fast doing it.

    Great little file server!
I bought this to replace an Asustor NAS that was five years old and more than I needed. Bought this box, ditched the preloaded Windows 11 and loaded Truenas. Best file server I’ve had. Highly recommend.

    Using it for network storage
Nice little computer. Still getting it setup to store movies and music on. Planty of room to add more storage. So far easy to use.

Works as advertised. Amazing for the price.
Overall, I find this package amazing for the price. The build quality is quite high. Both the exterior and interior feel pretty refined. Everything is as described. I don’t expect the best quality components at this price, but they’re reasonable — the SSD for example produces speeds of >800MB/s for sequential read and write. One of the reasons I chose this computer is because it includes a 2.5″ SATA slot, which I’ve put another SSD into for larger storage.Another reason is because of the low power consumption. I use this box for video stream processing. Previously, I was using an older, full-size desktop, which drew about 47W on average; this machine draws only about 13W doing the same task, so it will fully pay itself back in power costs after only about 1-1.5 years. At full load, this machine draws about 25W (not including peripherals, monitor, etc).It would be handy to have a USB-C port, especially if power input could be USB-C. But for the price, it’s a tradeoff I’m more than willing to take.

    Dead on 2nd use
Got it set up, logged in, seemed to work OK. Came back later in the evening after work to install some apps, first one I installed was Firefox from the official site. Machine COMPLETELY TANKED in front of my eyes about half way through the install. I could get it to boot, and when logging in, it threw me into a temporary account saying my other account was corrupt. I started trying to back up the files that I had, but I couldn’t. The machine would just restart itself when I tried to back up my files. I tried some registry fixes, chkdsk, startup repair with boot usb, you name it. I even used a boot usb to try to run robocopy to an external drive. It choked. Nothing worked and now it won’t even get past the bee screen. Permanently bricked. This thing is a piece of absolute trash. NEVER buying a product from Bee-Link or any other product from their parent company Shenzhen AZW Technology. I’ve had it with your cut rate trash.

    Super compact.
This is a low power use, super quiet, compact computer. I love it. I replaced my old tower with this mini PC, and it’s about a tenth of the size of my old tower. It has super quick WiFi, plenty of USB ports, and has such a build quality. The price is right, and it is such an excellent computer for general work and streaming. If you need extra memory, an external SSD can solve that.I highly recommend it.
