Great gimbal that exceeds expectations!
I have their single axis gimbals and am quite pleased with it. So I decided to get their 3axis one. It’s simple to use, great for beginners. The video series about setup and use are excellent. I’m glad I took the plunge on this gimbal. Plus the light accesory I have for my single axis is interchangeable with this one! I absolutely love the scroll wheel that can alternate between zoom and focus, that’s a great feature. I am totally pleased with this gimbal all at a great price point.

Clip is iffy
I’m still figuring it out.Not a fan of the clip that holds the phone. I do not have a terribly thick case on my phone, however, my phone seems to barely fit in the clip and I’m a wee bit terrified that my phone is going to slip out of the clips.

Don’t seam to lock on
I’ve had 3 different people try to get it to work but won’t seam to lock on to anything.

Excellent image stabilization!
I was skeptical about budget phone gimbals—usually they’re clunky or impossible to balance. But this Aochuan stabilizer? Total game-changer.Setup took me 2 minutes max, no confusing tutorials needed. I took it hiking over rocky trails, and the footage was butter smooth—zero shakiness, even when I was moving fast. The panorama and time-lapse modes are super intuitive, and the battery lasted my 6-hour day trip with juice to spare.

Stabilizer with remote control function
I previously had a different stabilizer, but it didn’t have a remote control function, which was inconvenient. This one, however, has a remote control for remote operation, which suits my needs perfectly.

Great hardware, somewhat slow response to movement, landscape only recording.
The hardware of the gimbal feels good. It all is high quality and feels good to use. The issue I was personal feeling was that the gimbal was too slow, even in sport mode it didn’t keep with a quick but smooth turn. Maybe that is on purpose to keep things smooth? But I have a gimbal that is 10+ years old, and it seems to have more powerful motors while keeping things smooth. The display is really clear and nice, but I wish it was easier to decern what each mode meant. I know over time you will learn what each initial means, but there’s definitely a learning curve and isn’t easy to jump in and understand. The app is serviceable, but it would’ve been nice if the gimbal could hook into a more known app. I’m not sure if this is possible. One other minor thing I was surprised it didn’t support was portrait mode. It only can be used in landscape. I know in the past landscape was the preferred choice, but with vertical short form content being so much more popular, as well and how we share media with each other via phone a majority of the time, I was really surprised it didn’t support it. Going back to my very old gimbal I have, it supported portrait recording way back then, this gimbal only supports landscape. The phone mount is kinda meh. I use a slim phone case and it feels like the mount is barely deep enough to hold it. I’m not sure why they didn’t choose two flat tension plates instead of these plastic hooks. My phone didn’t fall, but it didn’t feel super secure. All that said, even with its shortcomings, the price and build quality still makes it above average in my opinion.
