A Great Plug
Works Great with no connection issues. I tried an offbrand that said it worked with Alexa, first, but it was a pain keeping it connected. My suggestion is you just stick with the Amazon brand.

Not that much smaller
These are nice plugs but they are not smaller, and they take up two spots 🙁

Great idea but Alexa fails to retain a connection
Easy enough to install and setup. Connected with Alexa to turn on and off the device and also set up motion sensor based actions: action to perform when motion is detected and action to perform when no motion is detected. Was very excited to see it all work: voice command to turn on/off and actions to perform when motion is detected and when motion ceases. But later in the day, when I asked Alexa to turn on one of the outlets she was unable to do so claiming the device was not responding. This happened 2 times. Both times unplugging and replying the device into the outlet made it work again.So, while this is a great idea, execution is flawed. Will return and get a new device to see if it works better. So far, value for money is poor.Updated a couple of weeks later. I returned the initial plug and got a replacement but the plug was inconsistent with its connection to Alexa. Sometimes it did not follow the routine, and occasionally turned on unprompted.So, like I was saying: while this is a great idea, execution is flawed.

Motion sensing didn’t work for me.
Bought this for the motion sensing feature. I needed motion sensing for my workshop lights. The description of the motion sensing function was vague to non-existent. I didn’t need all the Alexa functionality; all I wanted was for the device to activate one of the plugs when motion was sensed. I connected it to Alexa and did the steps in the Alex app to set up motion sensing. It simply didn’t work. Very possible that if I figured it out, I would have been able to make it work but it shouldn’t be that hard. Device is overcomplicated and underdefined. Returned.

I am a huge fan of automation because it really helps me with my ADHD. I forget to turn things on and off, so these plugs allow me to set a routine so that I never have to worry about forgetting! I love how you can name and program each individual plug, it’s so helpful.These two I have attached to my electric kettle and my smoothie bullet. I manually switch my kettle on but keep the plug off; when I’m on my way home from work or school I will tell Alexa to turn the plug on and I’ll have hot water ready for my tea when I get home! In the mornings, I can set my nutribullet up and ask Alexa to turn it on and off while I’m doing something else!I also love the motion sensor feature and the night light feature. I have the motion sensor set up so that Alexa will give me a compliment every time I’m in the kitchen xD, and the night light really helps when I need a midnight snack or drink of water :)This really helps me with multitasking and I’ve really loved finding creative uses for these smart plugs. Automating some of the more mundane aspects of my life have really helped me to reduce my mental load 🙂 I highly recommend!
