I’m an Acer fan!
I’m not very tech savvy, but I know Acer is a quality product, as the one I’m replacing has lasted ten years. I use it for creating documents and limited applications. It’s lightweight, has a long battery life the screen quality is excellent and it’s easy to set up. The price is hard to beat too!

Washed out screen?
As an old lady with minimal technical skills, I’m not the best source for a review. But here goes. After I fixed it, I love it! It’s a great little computer, giving me all the needed access to email, Google search and Facebook. I don’t do much beyond that. What did I fix? Right out of the box, the screen was WASHED OUT. It was a contrast issue which made it very hard to read, in fact, so bad I would have returned it. Settings doesn’t have the option to adjust contrast, which is weird in itself. Searching online, I found a number of similar complaints, and, thank goodness, a “fix” which was noted on Reddit. I followed the instructions exactly, and it worked perfectly. Oddly enough, the remarks on Reddit were three years old, and for whatever reason, Acer Chromebook hasn’t fixed their current models. Holler if you need the instructions, or look for it on Reddit.

Great value for money.
Works as well as my 1,400.00 laptop, just a tiny bit slower but I think great value for money. If it breaks replacement is cheaper than repair. Very happy with this lap top. Will buy again if need be.

Great Chromebook for the price!
As ordered, easy to set up and connect to WiFi. Very functional and great battery life. The speakers deliver pretty decent sound for a laptop, not that tinny quality and the keyboard is quiet. The speed is that of a Chromebook but if you have tons of browsers open it does slow down. I can run three monitors with several windows open before I notice the slowdown.

Easy to set up and use, great quality, plenty of storage
Very easy to set up and very easy to use! It has plenty of storage for all of my files, documents and photos. It comes with a case for storage and travel. It holds a charge well. I’m a real estate agent and it’s perfect for me to work on!

Excellent quality – BUT
This is not a laptop. It is just a terminal, hence the low price. Very little storage capacity. Many apps will not work on it. However, build quality is excellent. It did not support many of my quality photo processing programs and it forces you to use software for photos that is no match for Photoshop. I recommend you buy a good laptop with Windows 11 and Amazon has some very good prices on those.

Improvement over my last Chromebook. I like ACER
Setting this up was a breeze, I like the screen size, and the ability to enlarge the type to help my senior vision. I am also glad that it is NOT a touch screen. My last one started to fail in the corner. It seems to charge very quickly and it is light weight. The screen on my last chromebook was only attached by two hinges and one broke off when it was dropped. This ACER appears to have the screen attached across most of the length of the keyboard.

UPDATE: Today is June 3, 2024 Bought this piece of junk April 3, 2024. Once again the computer has blacked out. I am typing this on my smaller , older Acer. This newer larger one is JUNK!I wasted my money and it’s too late to return the peice of TRASH!I tried with the so called A to Z guarantee.I have other Acers and this one is the SLOWEST one I have ever bought.Wish I could send it back. What a waste of money!A new problem today. The cursor disappeared and made this computer useless. Unplugged it so the battery will run out and maybe that will fix the problem. I can’t even shut this piece of junk down.I bought the piece of JUNK in April of this year. THREE times it just blacks out!Tried to find help but can’t get any! I wish I could return this piece of junk!I am typing this message on my other old Acer that has never had this black out problem. The one I bought in April is blacked out!Today is June 21,2024. I have had this chromebook since the first week of April 2024, For the 4th time it has blacked out. Earlier this week the curser wouldn’t move. All I could do was unplug it and let the battery go out. Thius is an inconvience for me. Amazon and this seller don’t care!June 22, 2024 I unplugged the Chromebook and this morning plugged it back in. The screen is still black! WORSE CHROMEBOOK I HAVE EVER HAD!
