Perfect for my 7 year old RoboGirl!
Love that we found a robotics kit that my daughter loves! She’s a robotics enthusiast, but still a girly girl at heart so this is the best of both worlds!

Not a device for learning scratch.
This will take your child a long while to put together. As others have said you will need to help if just for strength to put the pieces together, or take them apart. Children will not be able to get them apart. I’m my opinion the book is not that hard to follow, but I’m an adult that likes putting things together. That said, when is all together, it’s pretty terrible. The and fall off and the wheel jumps off track. The app is garbage that you will need to force install as it starts clearly on iPhone and Android that it is labeled unsafe, but also that it doesn’t send any data to the developer. It would only connect to my daughter’s iPhone the first time. Never could get it to connect again after that. The app would freeze. On my android it works but only the first time after that the lights and fiber optics just cycle through and I cannot control. The scratch part of the app is extremely limited you cannot pick which eyes to give it the personality the description says. I bought this for the scratch part. I was deceived. All in all The parts seem very durable, you would think they were genuine technic parts if the nubs weren’t blank. The remote works as intended except that forward and backwards are reversed. All the parts were there but, as stated by others, you will need to open all the bags into one pile to make anything the pieces seem to be randomly placed in 12 bags. For step one alone I had to open 4 bags, so I just opened them all into one big pile adding at least an hour to the build time for sorting through a huge pile of tiny very similar looking all black pieces. You will not learn anything about using scratch to control a robot with this. You will have the risk of the unsafe Chinese app to control it. This set is not not marketed accurately. False advertisement!!

Great toy
I recently got the 5-in-1 Robot Building Kit for my child, and it has been an incredible experience. The kit allows children to build five different models, including reconnaissance robots and guardian shield lion tanks, which my child found fascinating. The step-by-step instructions were clear and simple, making it easy for my child to assemble the models without any frustration. One of the standout features of this kit is the smart control option. My child can control the robots using a Bluetooth app or remote control, which has added a new level of excitement to playtime. The various modes, such as drive mode and coding mode, have introduced my child to the basics of programming in a fun and engaging way. With 337 pieces, the kit provides a comprehensive STEM learning experience. My child has developed a keen interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, and has improved their problem-solving and programming skills. The hands-on nature of the kit has also enhanced their creativity and practical skills.Overall, this robot building kit is a fantastic educational tool that combines entertainment with learning. It is perfect for children aged 6 and above, and it has successfully diverted my child’s attention from screens, offering a joyful and rewarding learning journey. I highly recommend this product to any parent looking to inspire their child’s interest in STEM.

Neat kit, but not for kids
This is a Lego Technic compatible kit that uses a different kind of power block and connector. The power brick has an internal rechargeable battery. The remote takes 2 AA batteries (not included). Oddly, the power brick goes into a standby mode and only fully powers up when the remote is turned on. Even the lights don’t work till then. The wires used to coonect power modules use a small connector that protrudes from the socket by about a millimeter. It goes in tight and can’t easily be pulled out without having very thin tweezers to grip the slight groove on the connector. Look at the photo to see how little there is to get a grip on with fingers. What kid isn’t going to try to yank it out by the wire? It’s probably best to not give this to a kid that’s never built a Technic kit before. Even though Technic is a Lego brand, it’s a more complicated system to work with. It’s a real pain to disassemble. I found myself using pliers to pull out stubborn pins that a brick separator could not get behind to try to push out.The instruction manual is good. With black components, it was sometimes tricky telling whether a part had a regular round hole or a cross hole. Overall, it’s one of the better 3rd party Lego manual that I’ve used. The finished tank model is clunky because the turret was not connected to the chassis. It just sat on top of it in a hole. I was a little surprised that the tank worked with the remote. It moves forwards and backwards and can be steered. It only moves while buttons are being pressed. The tubes are simple plastic tubes with no electronics. It’s interesting how putting them into holes on the power brick transmit the light. The rounded rectangle on the side of the turret showed an animated grid of lights the first time I turned it on, but not the after I turned it off and on. I haven’t had time to troubleshoot whether that’s a persistent issue.
