I bought this Smart Robot Dog as a gift for my 7-year-old, and it has easily become the most played-with item in our house. This is a present for my daughter. The robot dog is well packaged and delivered on time. It comes with rechargeable battery, charged by usb-c, which is convenient. You do need 3 aaa batteries for the remote.Buttons with multiple functions make it fun for kids to play with. I have not tried to use the app yet, but it seems supporting customizable actions. Expect to try it out!Sounds are loud and clear. It is solid build. Overall a good STEM toy for kids 7 and above.

Gears grind. Motor doesn’t work.
One of the powered wheels doesn’t work, and the gears in the legs grind constantly. It seemed awesome when new out of the box, but started failing after about an hour of use. Didn’t even make it through one battery before it failed.Going to try exchanging it to see if we will have more luck.

The Smart Robot Dog is an excellent gift for kids. You can use voice control, remote control and app programming that lets you move the dog forward, backward, left, and right. Great value for money and the quality is good. My son likes to use app to control it. The dog responds well to fun tricks like barking, rolling over, and playing music. I think it is good enough for my son to play long time.

This thing is adorable! Purchased as a Christmas gift for my 11-year old grandson and he loves it. Easy to use with no learning curve. He was using it straight out of the box. It can dance, wave hello, and even go to the bathroom…it’s hilarious! Great gift!

A little disappointed, but what could you expect for the price?
I hate to be critical because I love robots so much, but I have a few complaints.1) the voice is kind of annoying. It’s English, but with a fairly strong accent. I have no problem with the Chinese language, but I feel like they could have found a better voice actor.2) it has that stupid RC battery thing that looks like an AA battery with leads coming off it. Please just make the robot able to charge with a USB. I don’t want to have to remove the battery door and battery every time I want to charge it.3) I’ve had intermittent issues with the controller being unable to connect with the robot. I’m currently fighting this issue right now.4) it is unable to right itself if it ends up on its back. I know that would be a complicated feature to include, so I’m not mad. I’m just saying.5) the programming on some features could have been better thought out. I bought my kid a bunch of robots for Christmas, so I can’t remember if this one can be programmed or not, but just keep that in mind if you’re an obsessive adult who loves robots, lol.Positives:1) my seven year old daughter LOVES it.2) it has some pretty cute programming.3) who doesn’t love a Boston dynamics-style quadruped?4) the face is adorable5) even my two year old loves it and interacting with it, even if he doesn’t have good control over it.
